An electronic assembly that includes a substrate having an aperture which extends through the substrate. The electronic assembly further includes a gull wing electronic package that includes leads which are solder mounted to the substrate such that the gull wing electronic package is within the aperture in the substrate, wherein the aperture is concentric with an exterior of the gull wing electronic package.

CARRIER BASE MODULE FOR A LIGHTING MODULE
Methods, apparatus and systems are described. An apparatus includes a module body made of a polymer material. The module body includes a mounting surface adjacent a potting area. At least two lead frame elements are embedded in the polymer material of the module body. Each of the at least two lead frame elements has a first terminal side and a second terminal side in the component potting area. An LED element is on the mounting surface of the module body and electrically coupled to the first terminal side of the at least two lead frame elements.
High density multi-component packages
Provided is a high density multi-component package and a method of manufacturing a high density multi-component package. The high density multi-component package comprises at least two electronic components wherein each electronic component of the electronic components comprise a first external termination and a second external termination. At least one interposer is between the adjacent electronic components and attached to the interposer by an interconnect wherein the interposer is selected from an active interposer and a mechanical interposer. Adjacent electronic components are connected serially.
ASSEMBLY HAVING AN ELECTROTECHNICAL COMPONENT ON A CARRIER
The invention relates to an assembly with an electrotechnical component on a carrier, wherein the electrotechnical component is arranged on the carrier, wherein a first electrical connecting line and a second electrical connecting line going to the electrotechnical component are provided on or in the carrier, wherein the electrotechnical component comprises a first connection and a second connection, wherein the first connection is attached on the carrier by a thermally softenable solder material to the first electrical power supply line, and wherein the second connection is attached on the carrier by a thermally softenable solder material to the second electrical power supply line, wherein a first electrical signal line to the electrotechnical component is provided on or in the carrier, wherein the first connection on the carrier is also attached by a thermally softenable solder material to the first electrical signal line, wherein the assembly furthermore comprises a mechanical prestressing, which in the event that the solder material is softened can displace the electrotechnical component on the surface substantially in a parallel plane to the carrier or orthogonally to the carrier so that the electrical attachment of the first electrical power supply line, the second electrical power supply line and the first electrical signal line is interrupted such that a potential can now be measured between the first electrical power supply line and the first electrical signal line.
Illuminated display
An illuminated display includes a plurality of illumination means, in particular a plurality of LEDs, which are arranged on a transparent base member. The transparent base member reduces visible light on average by a maximum of 40%. Preferably, the transparent base member is constructed in the form of a film, or in a further preferred manner in the form of a plastics material film. The illumination means are supplied with voltage by means of strip conductors. The strip conductors are electrically connected at one end preferably to a control unit and at the other end to at least one illumination means.
BIOSTIMULATOR HAVING FLEXIBLE CIRCUIT ASSEMBLY
A biostimulator, such as a leadless cardiac pacemaker, having a flexible circuit assembly, is described. The flexible circuit assembly is contained within an electronics compartment between a battery, a housing, and a header assembly of the biostimulator. The flexible circuit assembly includes a flexible substrate that folds into a stacked configuration in which an electrical connector and an electronic component of the flexible circuit assembly are enfolded by the flexible substrate. An aperture is located in a fold region of the flexible substrate to allow a feedthrough pin of the header assembly to pass through the folded structure into electrical contact with the electrical connector. The electronic component can be a processor to control delivery of a pacing impulse through the feedthrough pin to a pacing tip. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
System and methods for additive manufacturing of electromechanical assemblies
A hybrid additive manufacturing approach that incorporates three-dimensional (3D) printing and placement of modules selected from a library of modules to fabricate an electromechanical assembly. By virtue of fabrication of the electromechanical assembly, mechanical properties and electrical properties of the assembly are created. The invention overcomes the material and process limitations of current printable electronics approaches, enabling complete, complex electromechanical assemblies to be fabricated.
