Transformer and an associated method thereof

A transformer having an insulation system is presented. The transformer includes a magnetic core having an opening. Also, the transformer includes a plurality of primary windings disposed extending through the opening of the magnetic core. Further, the insulation system includes a first insulation substantially encapsulating the plurality of primary windings and impregnating spaces between the plurality of primary windings, and a second insulation disposed around the first insulation, where the second insulation has at least one of a predetermined dielectric strength and a predetermined thickness configured to isolate a first voltage signal in the plurality of primary windings from the magnetic core.

Compact Dry-Type Transformer

The present disclosure relates to transformers. Various embodiments of the teachings herein may include a coating of an insulation body of a dry transformer. For example, the electrical winding may include multiple windings of a winding conductor wound to form a coil. The coil has been embedded into a solid insulation body. In some embodiments, a coating of an electrically conductive material, comprising a resin matrix and microscale filler, has been applied to at least one surface of the insulation body.

Dry-Type Transformer

The present disclosure relates to electrical windings for a dry transformer which allows construction of a compact dry transformer even in relatively high voltage classes. For this purpose, the electrical winding has multiple windings of a winding conductor wound to form a coil. The coil has been embedded into a solid insulation body. In some embodiments, a coating of an electrically conductive material, comprising a resin matrix with at least 0.05% by weight of nanoscale filler, has been applied to at least one surface of the insulation body.

Planar coil element and method for producing planar coil element

A planar coil element of the present invention includes an insulating base film having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, a first conductive pattern deposited on the first surface side of the insulating base film, and a first insulating layer covering the first conductive pattern on the first surface side, in which the first conductive pattern includes a core body and a widening layer deposited by plating on the outer surface of the core body, and the ratio of the average thickness of the first conductive pattern to the average circuit pitch of the first conductive pattern is ½ or more and 5 or less.

Electromagnetic coil

An electromagnetic coil with improved insulation properties at high temperatures. A bobbin is insulated by a thin ceramic composite layer that is produced by winding a glass or ceramic fiber over the support structure and impregnating it with a pre-ceramic polymer. The pre-ceramic polymer is then modified to form a ceramic SiO.sub.2 matrix around the fibrous layer. The ceramic matrix secures the glass or ceramic fibers in place and produces a dense layer. A ceramic coated magnet wire is then wound around the insulated support structure. The magnet wire is a conductor that is spiral-wrapped with a glass fiber impregnated with a pre-ceramic polymer.

Said exterior portion has an easy magnetization direction oriented parallel to an axis of the winding core.

MULTILAYER COIL COMPONENT

A method for producing a multilayer coil component includes preparing an insulating sheet; forming a resin paste layer on the insulating sheet by using a resin paste; forming a conductive paste layer by using a conductive paste, the conductive paste layer covering the resin paste layer and having a projecting portion at a portion where a second void portion is to be formed; forming an insulating paste layer on the insulating sheet by using an insulating paste such that at least part of an upper surface of the conductive paste layer is exposed; stacking the insulating sheets having the resin paste layer, the conductive paste layer, and the insulating paste layer formed thereon to form a multilayer compact that includes the conductive paste layers connected into a coil shape; and firing the multilayer compact.

POWER CONTROL MODULE

A power control module and a method to create the power control module is provided. The power control module includes a plurality of transformers, wherein each transformer of the plurality of transformers includes a stack of ferrite cores comprising a plurality of ferrite cores and a continuous winding. The continuous winding has a plurality of turns through each ferrite core of the plurality of ferrite cores. The plurality of ferrite cores are oriented such that the plurality of ferrite cores are stacked together with legs of the plurality of ferrite cores oriented in opposite directions, and wherein the continuous winding comprises a folded section that extends between the plurality of ferrite cores of the stack of ferrite.
