ELECTRICAL PUSHBUTTON SNAP SWITCH WITH MEANS FOR IDENTIFYING THE POSITION OF THE PUSHBUTTON AND/OR OF THE DRIVING MEMBER
A switch comprising an actuation member in the form of a pushbutton comprising an actuating portion being arranged, when an external force is applied to the pushbutton, to be moved vertically relative to the housing between a pushbutton upper position and a pushbutton lower position, the pushbutton and a tilting driving member forming a movable mechanical assembly. An electrical switching means generates signals representative of changes of position of the one and/or of the other of the two components of the movable assembly, the electrical switching means including a sensing switch for sensing the changes of position of the pushbutton between its upper position and its lower position, and a detecting switch for detecting the changes of position of the tilting driving member between its upper position and its lower position.

Modular push switch mechanism
The present invention is directed to switch device that includes a switch actuator having a user-accessible surface, the user accessible surface including an indicator element and an interior channel optically coupled to the indicator element. The switch actuator is configured to actuate a mechanical linkage by moving between a first actuator position and a second actuator position in response to a user-stimulus, the mechanical linkage actuation driving the set of electrical contacts between a first contact state and a second contact state. A light emitting portion is disposed within the interior channel and optically coupled to the indicator element so that the interior channel moves relative to the light emitting portion when the switch actuator moves between the first actuator position and the second actuator position. The light emitting portion is optically coupled to the indicator element when the interior channel moves relative to the lighting portion.

Operator control device for a vehicle, in particular a passenger motor vehicle
A base element and at least one switching element are included in an operator control device which may be disposed in a vehicle. By closing at least one electrical contact, the switching element is moveable from a first position into a second position relative to the base element. The operator control device can also include at least one pushbutton switch moveable relative to the base element between a position of rest and at least one activation position. The operator control device can further include at least one restoring element, formed of silicone and supported on the base element and on the pushbutton switch, which can be elastically deformed by moving the pushbutton switch from the position of rest into the activation position. Using the restoring element, the pushbutton switch can be moved from the activation position into the position of rest by relaxing the restoring element.

STRAIN GAUGE PROPORTIONAL PUSH BUTTON
A transmitter device incorporating a strain gauge proportional push button is disclosed. The transmitter device includes a printed circuit board including one or more electrical components thereon and a proportional push button having a flexible membrane, a dome switch positioned beneath the flexible membrane and attached to the printed circuit board, the dome switch being proximate to the flexible membrane such that depression of the flexible membrane causes the dome switch to snap down and thereby form a closed circuit in the dome switch, and a strain gauge formed on or applied to the printed circuit board and positioned adjacent the dome switch, the strain gauge generating an electrical output proportional to an amount of deflection of the printed circuit board caused by pressure exerted thereon by depression of the flexible membrane and the dome switch.
Modular electrical wiring device system
The present invention is directed to an electrical wiring system having a frame assembly that includes a frame opening at a central portion thereof. The frame opening provides access to the interior of the device wall box. At least one electrical wiring device is configured to snap into the frame opening such that the interior of the device wall box is completely enclosed by the frame assembly and the at least one electrical wiring device such that access to wiring disposed within the device wall box is substantially prevented. The at least one electrical wiring device includes at least one user-interface. An aesthetic overlay may be coupled to the frame assembly. The aesthetic overlay includes an overlay opening configured to accommodate the at least one user-interface such that the at least one user-interface is accessible to a user.
