The present invention is directed to a protective device including a fault protection circuit configured to provide a fault detection stimulus in response to detecting at least one type of predetermined fault condition. A circuit interrupter is disposed on a first side of a PCB and an auxiliary switch is at least partially disposed on a second side of the at least one PCB. The auxiliary switch includes a switch throw element movably extending through an opening in the PCB between the first state and the second state, the auxiliary switch being configured to decouple at least a portion of the fault protection circuit assembly from the plurality of line terminals in the second state.

Method of manufacturing a modular electrical wiring device system

A method including the steps of providing a frame member configured to be disposed over a device wall box, the frame member including at least one frame opening being configured to substantially define a modular space; and providing at least one modular electrical wiring device configured to substantially conform to the modular space in accordance with at least one of a plurality of modular configurations, the at least one modular electrical wiring device being configured to include a plurality of attachment structures configured to mate with the frame member, the at least one modular electrical wiring device being configured to be disposed within the at least one frame opening in an orientation selected from a plurality of orientations including at least one first orientation and at least one second orientation, the at least one first orientation being substantially orthogonal to the at least one second orientation.
