Substrate treating apparatus
Disclosed is a substrate treating apparatus that performs a cleaning treatment on substrates. A treating block includes a plurality of treating units in an upper and lower stages, respectively. The treating block includes a front face cleaning unit and a back face cleaning unit, each being at least one in number, in the upper stage. The treating block includes at least one tower unit including the front face cleaning unit and the back face cleaning unit, each being at least one in number, in the lower stage. Moreover, a transportation block is provided that includes a center robot in each of the upper and lower stages.
Substrate treating apparatus and substrate transporting method
A substrate treating apparatus and a substrate transporting method wherein a platform is disposed on a first ID block, and a platform is placed on a second ID block. A currently-used carrier platform is provided only on the first ID block. Accordingly, a substrate is transported in both a forward path and a return path between the first ID block and a second treating block. The substrate is returned not to the first ID block but to the second ID block disposed between the two treating blocks in the return path.

A transport system for transporting a plurality of objects between a storage container configured to store the plurality of objects and a processing apparatus configured to collectively process the plurality of objects held on a tray, including a mounting part on which the storage container is mounted, a stage on which the plurality of objects are mounted, a tray support part configured to support the tray, a first transport device configured to transport the plurality of objects between the storage container mounted on the mounting part and the stage, and a second transport device configured to transport the plurality of objects between the stage and the tray supported by the tray support part.

An illustrative embodiment disclosed herein is an apparatus including a first loading tray configured to couple to a first wafer holding device holding a plurality of wafers. The first wafer holding device includes a first opening. The apparatus includes a second loading tray configured to couple to a second wafer holding device. The second wafer holding device includes a second opening. The apparatus includes a first motor coupled to the first loading tray and configured to rotate the first wafer holding device until the first opening faces the second opening to allow transfer of the plurality of wafers from the first wafer holding device to the second wafer holding device.

A substrate positioning apparatus includes a holder and a rotating device. The holder is configured to hold a substrate. The rotating device is configured to rotate the holder. The rotating device includes a rotation shaft, a bearing member, a base member, a driving unit and a damping device. The rotation shaft is fixed to the holder. The bearing member is configured to support the rotation shaft in a non-contact state. The bearing member is fixed on the base member. The driving unit is configured to rotate the rotation shaft. The damping device includes a rail connected to the base member and a slider connected to the rotation shaft, and is configured to produce a damping force against a relative operation between the rotation shaft and the base member by a resistance generated between the rail and the slider.
METHODOLOGY FOR SUBSTRATE TO CATHODE PLANARITY AND CENTERING ALIGNMENT
A method and apparatus for aligning components within a processing module are described herein. The components include a substrate transfer device, a plurality of support chuck assemblies, and adjustable bushings disposed in the processing module. The substrate transfer device includes support arms with heads configured to passively correct the location of a substrate therein. The orientation of each of the support arms of the substrate transfer device is adjusted to align with each of the support chuck assemblies. The location of a process station is then adjusted to align with one of the support chuck assemblies by calibrating the adjustable bushings which correspond to each process station.
PROCESSING APPARATUS
A processing apparatus includes a reinforcing portion removing mechanism. The reinforcing portion removing mechanism includes a laser beam irradiating unit configured to form a cutting groove by applying a laser beam to a base of a ring-shaped reinforcing portion formed on a periphery of a wafer, a first raising and lowering table configured to hold and raise a frame unit temporarily placed on a temporary placement table, and position the frame unit at the laser beam irradiating unit, and a separating unit configured to separate the ring-shaped reinforcing portion from the cutting groove. The separating unit includes an ultraviolet ray irradiating unit, a second raising and lowering table, a separator, and a discarding unit.
METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING WAFER
A method of processing a wafer includes preparing a ring-shaped frame having an opening for accommodating a wafer therein, preparing a wafer having a protrusive ring-shaped stiffener on a reverse side thereof in an outer circumferential excess region thereof, producing a frame unit by affixing a tape to the frame and the reverse side of the wafer, capturing an image of the ring-shaped stiffener and setting a center of an inner circumferential circle of the ring-shaped stiffener on the basis of the captured image, rotating the frame unit around the center of the inner circumferential circle of the ring-shaped stiffener to cut the wafer along the inner circumferential circle of the ring-shaped stiffener, and removing the ring-shaped stiffener severed from the frame unit.
Apparatus and method for processing substrate
A substrate processing apparatus includes a process module including a substrate support unit, an inverting unit and a processing unit, and a transfer module, wherein the inverting unit inverts a substrate so that a second surface faces upward, and provides the inverted substrate to the substrate support unit, wherein the processing unit performs a first processing on the second surface of the substrate seated on the substrate support unit, wherein the inverting unit inverts the first processed substrate so that the first surface faces upward, wherein the transfer module takes the substrate with a first surface facing upward out of the process module, and introduces again the substrate with a first surface facing upward into the process module to seat it on the substrate support unit, wherein the processing unit performs a second processing on the first surface of the substrate seated on the substrate support unit.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TREATING SUBSTRATE
The inventive concept provides a substrate treating apparatus. The substrate treating apparatus includes a treating bath having an accommodation space for accommodating a treating liquid; a support member configured to support at least one substrate in a vertical posture at the accommodation space; and a posture changing robot configured to change a posture of a substrate immersed in the treating liquid from the vertical posture to a horizontal posture, and wherein the posture changing robot comprises: a body configured to hold the substrate thereon; and a liquid supply member configured to supply a wetting liquid to the substrate placed on the body.
