An illustrative embodiment disclosed herein is an apparatus including a first loading tray configured to couple to a first wafer holding device holding a plurality of wafers. The first wafer holding device includes a first opening. The apparatus includes a second loading tray configured to couple to a second wafer holding device. The second wafer holding device includes a second opening. The apparatus includes a first motor coupled to the first loading tray and configured to rotate the first wafer holding device until the first opening faces the second opening to allow transfer of the plurality of wafers from the first wafer holding device to the second wafer holding device.

An overhead transport vehicle includes a conveyor to travel along a track, a holder to hold an object to be conveyed, and a lifting driver to lift and lower the holder. The holder includes a base, a holder including a body and a pair of grippers connected to the body in an openable/closable manner, the holder being attached to the base so as to be movable along an opening/closing direction of the pair of grippers, and a first elastic member to restrict, between the base and the body, movement of the holder along the opening/closing direction.
System and method for aligning a mask with a substrate
An alignment module for positioning a mask on a substrate comprises a mask stocker, an alignment stage, and a transfer robot. The mask stocker houses a mask cassette that stores a plurality of masks. The alignment stage is configured to support a carrier and a substrate. The transfer robot is configured to transfer one of the one or more masks from the mask stocker to the alignment stage and position the mask over the substrate. The alignment module may be part of an integrated platform having one or more transfer chambers, a factory interface having a substrate carrier chamber and one or more processing chambers. A carrier may be coupled to a substrate within the substrate carrier chamber and moved between the processing chambers to generate a semiconductor device.

An ion beam deposition apparatus includes a substrate assembly to secure a substrate, a target assembly slanted with respect to the substrate assembly, the target assembly including a target with deposition materials, an ion gun to inject ion beams onto the target, such that ions of the deposition materials are discharged toward the substrate assembly to form a thin layer on the substrate, and a substrate heater to heat the substrate to a deposition temperature higher than a room temperature.

An automated material handling system (AMHS) and a method of operating the AMHS are disclosed. In one aspect, the AMHS includes a network of rails and a vehicle configured to hold a sample carrier that stores one or more samples, wherein the vehicle is configured to move within the FAB via the network of rails. The AMHS also includes a turn table connected to the network of rails and configured to rotate about an axis substantially perpendicular to a surface of the turn table. The AMHS further includes a hash rail connected to and overlapping the turn table. The hash rail is configured to rotate about the axis with the turn table.

TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM OF A CASSETTE AND METHOD OF AUTO TEACHING A POSITION OF A CASSETTE
A transportation system of a cassette comprises a port and a system controller. The port accommodates a cassette carrying a glass substrate, and the port includes displacement sensors for sensing a position of a cassette. The system controller calculates a distortion amount of the cassette using sensed values of the cassette and determines if the cassette is in a normal settlement status by comparing the distortion amount with a tolerance value. Therefore, the position of the cassette can be automatically taught without clamping operation of a clamping device clamping the cassette disposed in the port, thereby preventing defects of the glass substrate by removing various defect-causing factors such as particles and static electricity that may occur during a conventional clamping operation. In particular, quality defects of OLED can be eliminated by preventing particles and static electricity that affect product quality defects in the OLED manufacturing process.
