PURGING DEVICE AND PURGING METHOD
Containers are purged between overhead transfer vehicles and a container transfer location to or from which the containers are transferred. A travelling rail for a local vehicle is provided below a travelling rail for the overhead transfer vehicles and above the container transfer location, and a local vehicle travels along the travelling rail and includes a hoist that raises and lowers the containers. A purging table that supports the containers is provided below the travelling rail for the local vehicle so as not to block a portion over the container transfer location and a purging gas feeding device feeds a purging gas into the containers supported on the purging table.
OVERHEAD TRANSPORT VEHICLE
An overhead transport vehicle includes a vibration-proof portion disposed between a belt and a lift device. The vibration-proof portion includes a first connection mechanism disposed on a side where a first load acts in a width direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to both a travelling direction and a lifting direction of the lift device, and a second connection mechanism disposed on a side where a second load larger than the first load acts in the width direction, and which has a larger repulsive force than that of the first connection mechanism.

A temporary storage system has a large capacity and loads and unloads articles promptly. The temporary storage system includes a grid-shaped travelling rail and buffers over processing equipment except for an area over a load port, and local vehicles travel along the rail. The carriage of the local vehicles is provided with at least a longitudinal travelling unit, at least a lateral travelling unit, and at least an advancement and retraction mechanism selectively advancing one of the longitudinal travelling unit and the lateral travelling unit to a position supported by the travelling rail, and travels along the travelling rail longitudinally and laterally, and the transfer unit of the local vehicles is provided with a hoist and an arm moving the hoist horizontally. The local vehicles stop at a position corresponding to the load port, advances the arm towards the load port, and transfers an article between the load port.
Article Transport Device and Article Transport Facility Including Same
An article transport device includes a transport mechanism which is configured to support, from below, a container being transported and to transport the container along a transporting path, and a housing which forms an accommodating space in which at least a part of the transport mechanism is housed. The housing has one or more support plates, a plurality of brackets, and a housing panel. Each of the one or more support plates is a plate-shaped member extending along the transporting path and is configured to support the transport mechanism from below. A lower end portion of each of the plurality of brackets is attached to a corresponding one of the one or more support plates such that the plurality of the brackets are spaced apart from one another along a direction along the transporting path, outside the accommodating space along the lateral width direction. When the housing panel is not attached to the at least one of the plurality of brackets, the housing is provided with a communicating opening for allowing communication between a space inside and a space outside the accommodating space. The vertical dimension of the communicating opening is set to be a dimension that corresponds to a vertical dimension of the at least one of the plurality of brackets.
TRAVELING VEHICLE SYSTEM
A traveling vehicle system includes a track and a ceiling traveling vehicle. The track includes a first track, a second track, and a connection track. The ceiling traveling vehicle includes a direction changer that turns a coupler, which couples a traveling wheel and a main body to each other and passes through a gap D-between the first track or the second track and the connection track. A guider is provided in the coupler, moves along a first guide surface in a first state in which the traveling wheel rolls on the first track, and moves along a second guide surface in a second state in which the traveling wheel rolls on the second track.
MOVABLE BUFFER, AUTOMATED MATERIAL HANDLING SYSTEM AND CORRESPONDING OVERHEAD HOIST TRANSFER
The present application relates to a movable buffer, an automated material handling system and a corresponding overhead hoist transfer. The movable buffer includes: an inclined track including a first end and a second end opposite to each other, wherein the second end of the inclined track is higher than the first end of the inclined track; a storage tray connected to the inclined track, wherein the storage tray is provided with a space for accommodating a front opening unified pod, the storage tray is provided with at least one opening; and a transmission mechanism, wherein the upper surface of the transmission mechanism is connected to the lower surface of the overhead buffer, the lower surface of the transmission mechanism is connected to the inclined track, and the transmission mechanism is used for driving the storage tray to slide from the first end of the inclined track to the second end.

A controller performs a stop control if a first detector detects that an article transport vehicle traveling in a first path entered a managed area, and a second detector or a third detector detects that another article transport vehicle exists in a selected path. And the controller performs a travel control if the first detector detects that an article transport vehicle traveling in a first path entered the managed area, and presence of another article transport vehicle is not detected in the selected path by the second detector or the third detector.
