FACIAL COVERING SYSTEM
Described herein is a facemask and/or facial covering support system for a variety of masks and/or other facial coverings. The system is designed to redirect the straps and/or bands of a facial covering or facemask to prevent impinging on, or causing pain, to the ears of the user of the facial covering as well as preventing the facemask from obstructing the mouth/nose of the user. The system may be used with a dedicated facemask or retrofit onto existing facemasks. The system further allows for the facemask to be loosened without being completely removed.
ARTICLE FOR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT USING AN ELECTROCEUTICAL SYSTEM
An electroceutical system integrated into an article of personal protective equipment (PPE) like a face mask. The system consists of an electrochemical cell consisting of an anodic zone capable of serving as an anode, a cathodic zone capable of serving as a cathode and, optionally, a selectively conductive switch zone electrically couplable to and separating the anodic and cathodic zones and serving to switch on and off current flow between the anodic and cathodic zones.
FILTRATION ARTICLE FOR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
A filtration article for using in personal protective equipment (“PPE”) that includes one or more layers. The article has an external side for facing side the environment and an internal side for facing the body of a user. The article is air permeable but has a porosity sufficient to entrap and thereby filter selected infectious agents (IAs). The one or more layers comprise structures providing two or more of the following functional features selected from the group of: (1) a structure with oligodynamic materials for inactivating the selected IAs; (2) a structure of carbon fibers or particles for moisture management and/or conductive cooling; (3) a knit or woven structure having yarns in a denier gradient that causes wicking of water from the internal side of the mask toward the external side; (4) an energized or energizable structure that subjects entrapped IAs to current, charged particles, electrostatic discharge, resistive heating, IR heating and/or disruptive electromagnetic energy; and (5) a hydrophobic structure forming an external surface of the external side for repelling droplets and other moisture from absorbing into the surface.
Protective mask with no-touch access flap
A protective face mask for maintaining a protective covering over a wearer's nose and mouth that allows for safe intake of food and/or drink includes a mask body, and upper and lower straps connected to the mask body that allow the protective face mask to be secured to the wearer's head. The mask body includes a flap portion that is connected to the mask body by left and right bellows portions. A tether is connected to the flap portion that may be grasped and force applied to draw the flap portion away from the face of the wearer, expanding the left and right bellows portions and creating an opening under a bottom edge of the flap portion at the bottom of the mask body to allow access to the wearer's mouth until the force applied is removed.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION DEVICE AND PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The present disclosure provides a respiratory protection device made of soft material comprising folds in zig-zag pattern on the main body and may be adhered to wearer's face by adhesives instead of straps. The respiratory protection device with folds is expandable from flat-fold configuration to open ready-to-use configuration, collapsible from the open ready-to-use configuration to the flat-fold configuration, and flexible to keep adhered to wearer's face when the respiratory protection device is dragged in conjunction with the movement of the wearer's face. The folding structures not only reduce the storage volume but also support the main body of the respiratory protection device to provide large air chamber for breathing comfortably in a completely sealed space. The present disclosure also provides a process of manufacturing the respiratory protection device by folding and fixing barrier layers and applying adhesives on the barrier layers.
HEMP PROTECTIVE FACE MASK
A face mask completely made from hemp fabric.
Respirator Including Reinforcing Element
Various embodiments of a filtering face-piece respirator are disclosed. The respirator can include a mask body that includes a collapsible zone disposed along at least a portion of a perimeter of the mask body and a reinforcing element disposed in an upper region of the mask body to define a reinforced zone of the mask body. The reinforced zone is at least partially surrounded by the collapsible zone.
HEATED MASK
A mask includes a support member that is configured to extend across at least a portion of a face of a user and a heater connected to the support member.
Face Mask and Method of Making the Same
A face mask includes a piece of fabric including a main body portion, a first leg extending from first side of the main body portion, and a second leg extending from a second side of the main body portion. A first plurality of slots are arranged along a first side perimeter of the main body portion, and a second plurality of slots are arranged along a second side perimeter of the main body portion. At least one first fold in the piece of fabric extends between the first plurality of slots and at least one second fold extends between the second plurality of slots. The first plurality of slots are aligned and the first leg extends through the first plurality of slots. The second plurality of slots are also aligned and the second leg extends through the second plurality of slots.
User-Configurable Mask with Filter Insert
A user-customizable mask. The mask includes a centralized body configured to cover the user's nose, mouth, and chin. A left ear strap and a right ear strap are provided. The ear straps each contain a distal loop configured to pass around an ear—thereby securing the mask to the user's face. The mask body has a hook-compatible surface. Each ear strap includes a hook panel configured to engage this hook-compatible surface and thereby secure each ear strap to the mask body. The position of each of the ear straps relative to the mask body can be varied infinitely by the user in order to provide a customized fit.
