A user-customizable mask. The mask includes a centralized body configured to cover the user's nose, mouth, and chin. A left ear strap and a right ear strap are provided. The ear straps each contain a distal loop configured to pass around an ear—thereby securing the mask to the user's face. The mask body has a hook-compatible surface. Each ear strap includes a hook panel configured to engage this hook-compatible surface and thereby secure each ear strap to the mask body. The position of each of the ear straps relative to the mask body can be varied infinitely by the user in order to provide a customized fit.

One or more embodiments of a respirator that includes a polymeric netting is disclosed. The respirator can include a mask body including a perimeter, a harness attached to the mask body, and a face seal disposed adjacent at least a portion of the perimeter of the mask body. In one or more embodiments, the face seal includes a polymeric netting including polymeric ribbons and polymeric strands, where each of the polymeric ribbons and strands having a length, width, and height, where the length is the longest dimension, the width is the shortest dimension, and the height is the dimension transverse to the length and the width. The polymeric ribbons have a height-to-width aspect ratio of at least 5 to 1, a major surface that is intermittently bonded to only one polymeric strand, and a height that is at least two times greater than a height of the one polymeric strand.

The present application discloses a mask including a sheet, a first loop, a second loop and an elastic film. The sheet comprises a central portion, a first lateral portion, a second lateral portion and an opening. The first loop is coupled to the sheet. The second loop is coupled to the sheet. The elastic film is coupled to the sheet and covers the opening. A method of manufacturing the aforementioned face mask is also disclosed.

A personal respiratory protection device comprising an upper panel, a central panel, and a lower panel, the central panel being separated from each of the upper and lower panels by a first and second fold, seam, weld or bond, respectively, such that device is capable of being folded flat for storage along the first and second fold, seam, weld or bond and opened to form a cup-shaped air chamber over the nose and mouth of the wearer when in use, wherein the lower panel includes a stiffening sheet which has a longitudinal crease line, wherein the stiffening sheet is folded about the longitudinal crease line when the device is in use.

A mouth-nose mask for reducing the transmission of pathogens via droplets of secretion is disclosed. The mouth-nose mask includes a central fold which defines a chin-nose line of the mouth-nose mask and separates the mouth-nose mask into two substantially congruent halves. A fastening means for fastening the mouth-nose mask to a wearer's ears or back of the head is attached to the ends of the two halves remote from the central fold. The mouth-nose mask includes at least two superposed layers of a filter material, the at least two layers defining the outer shape of the mouth-nose mask and being only partially joined to one another at their edges.

The present application discloses a mask including a sheet, a first loop, a second loop and an elastic film. A protective face mask for maintaining a protective covering over a wearer's nose and mouth that allows for safe intake of food and/or drink includes a mask body, and upper and lower straps connected to the mask body that allow the protective face mask to be secured to the wearer's head. The mask body includes a flap portion that is connected to the mask body by left and right bellows portions. A tether is connected to the flap portion that may be grasped and force applied to draw the flap portion away from the face of the wearer, expanding the left and right bellows portions and creating an opening under a bottom edge of the flap portion at the bottom of the mask body to allow acces to the wearer's mouth until the force applied is removed.

The present invention relates to an electronic airflow mask that allows a user to easily breathe through the mask, while reducing the potential of exposure to contamination from harmful airborne particles. The electronic airflow mask also minimizes the likelihood of the wearer experiencing skin damage, pressure points, pain or the like from wearing the mask for prolonged, uninterrupted periods of time. The electronic airflow mask includes a multi-speed fan powered by a power source to provide easy inhalation and exhalation of air by the user. The fan is disposed on a side of the mask, and its controls are readily accessible to the wearer.

Various embodiments of a respirator and a method of making such respirator are disclosed. The respirator includes a mask body and a harness connected to the mask body. The mask body includes a filtering structure having a central panel, an upper panel separated from the central panel by a first line of demarcation, and a lower panel separated from the central panel by a second line of demarcation. The mask body further includes a bisecting fold, and a transversely-extending three-layer pleat disposed in a central panel of a filtering structure of the mask body. The transversely-extending three-layer pleat is formed in the mask body and is sealed to itself at a first seal location disposed on a right side of the mask body and a second seal location disposed on a left side of the mask body.

Various embodiments of a personal respiratory protection device (10) are disclosed. The personal respiratory protection device (10) includes an upper panel (18), a central panel (16), and a lower panel (20), the central panel (16) being separated from each of the upper and lower panels (18) by a first and second fold (36), seam, weld (76) or bond, respectively, such that the device is capable of being folded flat for storage along the first and second fold (36), seam, weld (76) or bond and opened to form a cup-shaped air chamber over the nose and mouth of the wearer when in use. The lower panel (20) includes a stiffening sheet (40) that has a longitudinal crease line, where the stiffening sheet (40) is folded about the longitudinal crease line when the device is in use.
