MASK APPARATUSES AND APPROACH WITH ADJUSTABLE VALVE
Aspects of various embodiments herein may be implemented as follows. An apparatus has a material shell, which may be conformed to a user's face, and a securing portion connected to the shell that may operate to secure a filter, such as to the user's face with the filter covering the user's nose and mouth. An adjustable valve is coupled to the filter and operable for providing adjustable air flow through the valve (e.g., selectively bypassing air flow through material of the filter). A securing force can be applied to the material shell, thereby sealing the shell around the user's nose and mouth. Various implementations involve multiple couplers at an attachment region between the material shell and securing portion, which facilitate the application of forces with two or more degrees of freedom for securing to the user's face. Further, various implementations facilitate replacing filters utilized with the mask shell.
PROTECTIVE FACE MASK FOR INVASIVE MEDICAL PROCEDURES THROUGH MOUTH OR NOSE
A medical device for use with an associated tube inserted into a respiratory outlet of a patient is disclosed. The medical device includes a mask with an opening sized to receive and allow movement of the associated tube, and a valve operatively connected with the opening of the mask. The valve includes a main body, and an opening formed in a portion of the main body in which the opening is sized and dimensioned to accommodate the associated tube.
JSW REFILLABLE DUST MASK
An invention to house a disposable dust mask or N95 mask in an independent comfortable and reusable face mask frame.
Mask or Visor Attachment for Eyewear, Eyewear with Integrated Mask or Visor, And Eyewear With Clip On Lenses
A mask to be attached to eyewear is provided. The mask includes a shroud, the shroud including one or more attachment points to couple to corresponding attachment points on the eyewear. The mask also includes a filter assembly, the filter assembly including one or more openings and a filter layer covering the one or more openings to permit air flow through the mask while filtering for contaminants. Also provided are a filter assembly for a mask, an assembly including the mask and eyewear, integrated masks/visors/eyewear, and an assembly including the mask, eyewear, and a clip on lens attachment.
FILTERING FACEPIECE RESPIRATOR
Provided is a filtering facepiece respirator. The respirator includes a mask body having an anterior side portion, a posterior side portion, a middle portion, a first side portion, a second side portion, a top side portion, a bottom side portion and outer edge portions. The respirator further includes a primary port positioned at the anterior middle portion of the mask body and a detachable primary port adapter which is positioned over and engages the primary port. The respirator may further include an oxygen port and oxygen port adapter and a luer port and luer port adapter.
SEALING STRIP, RESPIRATOR, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SEALING STRIP
The present invention relates to a sealing strip, a respirator, and a method for manufacturing a sealing strip. The sealing strip includes a main body part, the main body part having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface. The main body part includes a curved surface part. The curved surface part includes a first convex part and a second convex part, and the first convex part and the second convex part are connected to each other in the lengthwise direction of the sealing strip to define a concave part located therebetween. The concave part is configured to accommodate the nose of a wearer. The first convex part and the second convex part are symmetrical about the concave part. A first side surface of the curved surface part is a sinusoidal curved surface with a constant amplitude extending in the lengthwise direction of the sealing strip. By the sealing strip, the respirator and the method for manufacturing a sealing strip according to the present invention, a manufacturing process of the sealing strip can be simplified; a maximum utilization rate of materials can be achieved; sealing between the respirator and the face of the wearer can be improved, and the wearing comfort of the respirator can be increased.
RESPIRATION-ENHANCEMENT INSERT FOR A FACE MASK TO INCLUDE MEDICAL FACEMASK
An insert for positioning beneath a facemask includes a front panel having a front surface, a rear surface, two opposing ends and a central aperture. A rear panel is spaced from and attached to the front panel and includes a central aperture aligned with the aperture on the front panel. The space between the front and rear panels defines an exhaust chamber for collecting air exhaled by the wearer. Angularly extending from each end of the front panel is a flap that extends along the side of a wearer’s breathing zone. Extending from each end of the rear flap is an air channel that is in fluid communication with the exhaust chamber. Accordingly, as the wearer exhales, expelled air is collected in the exhaust chamber and flows through the air channels, away from the wearer’s breathing zone.
FACE MASK WITH SMART FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS
Masks for being worn by a person are described herein. The masks include a shell configured to cover a nose and a mouth of the person, at least a portion of the shell having sufficient transparency to provide for visual observation of the mouth of the person when the person is wearing the mask. The shell includes an inhale port configured to provide for air to pass from an environment into a cavity defined by the shell when the person wearing the mask inhales and an exhale port configured to provide for air to pass from the cavity to the environment when the person wearing the mask exhales. The masks also include a retaining element coupled to the shell for retaining the mask on the person.
METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR CLEANING A FILTER MATERIAL
A method for cleaning at least one filter material, in particular a filter material used in the production of a respiratory protection mask (M), comprising the step of subjecting this filter material to a supercritical fluid, preferably supercritical CO.sub.2, with a density of less than 0.3 g/ml.
