A closure system for a boot or other footwear includes a tension member that is disposed within the boot and routed or guided about a path within the boot via one or more guides. The closure system also includes an adjustment member that is disposed within the boot and operably coupled with the tension member. The closure system further includes a reel based closure device having a knob that is operable to tension the tension member and to release tension from the tension member. Tensioning of the tension member adjusts a fit of the adjustment member about a foot within the boot to secure the foot within the boot and loosening of the tension member adjusts the fit of the adjustment member about the foot to allow the foot to be more easily removed from the boot.

It is a typical harness conformed by a hard outer shell (1) that usually projects a front visor (2), and an optional crown with ventilation ports (3), enclosed in an inner harness (A) that lays on the wearer's head, keeping a considerable clearance in respect of the inner face of the shell (1). The helmet is put on the wearer's head and is positioned using an adjustable annular headband (4). The harness is a crowned thin structure conformed by curved portions of different width and equal thickness, which form stretching deformation portions based on the energy transferred during an impact. Thanks to the sizing of the curved portions that form the crowned structure, stretching deformation occurs at temperatures ranging from −18° C. to 50° C. The crowned structure is shaped from an upper elliptic portion (5) that delimits a vast upper and central opening (6) that is substantially elliptic, from which radial portions extend (7 and 8) until reaching a lower adjustable annular headband. This upper elliptic portion (5) presents two diametrically opposed stretched openings (9 and 10), through which it is subdivided in two internal curved portions of lesser width (11 and 12), opposed to the respective external curved portions, which are wider (13) and (14).

The chassis includes vertical returns to install accessories, as well as flexible portions to increase retention. The vertical returns mounted to the chassis include mounting points for the shield, and in some embodiments, the shield may slot into the chassis. In one embodiment, the frame is molded as a single, unitary member and in another it is molded from separate pieces which can be constructed into the complete chassis. Various shield embodiments are disclosed, including where the shield extends further toward a user's ears, but includes a taper to avoid contacting wearers shoulders.

The construction helmet includes a support frame mounted therein and a head cushion fixed on the support frame for allowing a user's forehead to abut against. Left and right straps are extended from two sides of the support frame while an adjustment assembly is disposed between the left and right straps for adjusting the length of the straps. The adjustment assembly includes a base, a rotating member mounted in the base, an outer cap, and a toothed disc arranged over the rotating member and positioned in the outer cap. Two connecting strip are extended from two sides of the rotating, member and connected to the left and right straps respectively. The toothed disc which is driven by the outer cap further drives the rotating member to rotate for changing the length of the connecting strips.
