Helmet face shield
A face shield for use with protective headgear can be shipped flat and easily assembled from a kit of parts without the use of tools or adhesives. The face shield protects against disease, aerosols and splatter that may contain pathogens; may include a curved lower perimeter to facilitate head movements, and can be taken on and off easily.
Non-Impact Construction Face Shield
Several non-impact face shields for use in jobsite and/or construction settings are shown and described. Various embodiments describe herein include a cover actuates between a covered positioned, in which the cover is in front of the face of the user, and an open position.
Helmet/Hood assembly structure and method to prepare for use
A helmet/hood assembly includes a housing, a support ring subassembly configured to hold the assembly on a human head, a face shield, and a flexible hood attached to the housing and to the face shield, with the assembly being received, stored, used, and disposed as a single unit. The support ring subassembly pivots on the housing between a position suitable for shipping and storing the assembly and a position in which the assembly is worn. An accessory light powered by a battery may be held in place on the housing by magnetic attraction through the hood.
Helmet/hood assembly structure and method of use thereof
A helmet/hood assembly includes a housing, a headband support assembly configured to hold the assembly on a human head, a face shield, and a flexible hood attached to the housing and to the face shield, with the assembly being received, stored, used, and disposed as a single unit. The headband support assembly pivots on the housing between a configuration suitable for shipping and storing the assembly and a configuration in which the assembly is worn. An accessory light powered by a battery may be held in place on the housing by magnetic attraction through the hood.
Protective helmet with face protection shield and linkage mechanism
A protective helmet has an outer shell, a protection shield movable relative to the outer shell between a deployed position and a stowed position, and a linkage mechanism for connecting the protection shield to the outer shell and permitting movement of the protection shield between the deployed and stowed positions. The linkage mechanism has a first link with a first end connected to the outer shell and a second end connected to the protection shield, a second link having a first end connected to the outer shell and a second end connected to the protection shield, and a biasing member having a first end connected to the first link and a second end connected to the second link. The second end of the biasing member moves between the first and second ends of the second link during movement of the protection shield between the deployed and stowed positions.
Visor carrier assembly
A visor carrier assembly for a safety helmet includes a double-pivot mechanism attachable to each side of a safety helmet and configured to enable a visor to be selectively pivoted. An elongate arm of the double-pivot mechanism includes first and second pivotal couplings, each including a coupling member being a fixed elongate pin having rounded portions at each end, and a coupling region including an aperture defining, along its inner edge, a first notch or aperture within which one of the rounded portions of a respective coupling member is received to define a fixed pivot point, and an arcuate guide wall with which the opposite rounded portion of said respective coupling member engages and having ridges defining grooves or notches for receiving the opposite rounded portion as a respective pivotal coupling is pivoted about the fixed pivot point, each groove or notch defining a respective said visor position.
Surgical Personal Protection Apparatus
A surgical protection system to define a barrier between the user and the external environment. The surgical protection system comprising a helmet assembly, a hood and a transparent face shield. The helmet including a shell, a face frame coupled to the shell, a static tab, a first fastener disposed on the face frame; and a fan mounted to the shell and configured to circulate air about the user. The hood may include a first material defining an opening. The shield may be formed from flexible material and disposed within the opening of the hood. The shield may further include a tab extending from a top portion of the shield and define an opening configured to receive the static tab of the helmet to align the shield to the helmet. The first fastener disposed on the face frame may be configured to facilitate removable attachment of the shield to the helmet.
Method for producing conformal visor with integrated ophthalmic lenses and corresponding visor
The present invention refers to methods for producing a conformal visor (1b) with at least one integrated ophthalmic lens (2, 2a, 2b), wherein the at least one ophthalmic lens (2, 2a, 2b) is built up on the planar visor (1a) from layers of printing ink in an additive manufacturing scheme, wherein the layers are obtained through a targeted placement of droplets of printing ink at least partially side by side. The present invention further relates to a corresponding conformal visor (1b) with at least one integrated ophthalmic lens (2, 2a, 2b).
Welding helmet
A welding helmet (1) has a protective shield (2) and a first swivel mechanism (10) that pivotally connects the protective shield with a head suspension system (6) for swiveling about a swivel axis. The first swivel mechanism enables the protective shield and the head suspension system to be swiveled between a lowered position, in which the protective shield covers a wearer's face, and an upraised position, in which the protective shield uncovers the wearer's face. The first swivel mechanism (10) has a recess (16a) and a retainer (17a) for engaging with the recess. The retainer and the recess are arranged to engage with each other in the upraised position, and to remain disengaged in the lowered position and between the lowered position and the upraised position.
Systems and methods for an intelligent motorcycle helmet
An intelligent motorcycle helmet system includes a helmet assembly and a first control module incorporated into the helmet assembly and communicatively coupled to a set of helmet-mounted lighting components. A haptic feedback module is incorporated into the helmet assembly. A second control module is configured to be removably mounted to a motorcycle. The first control module selectively activates the helmet-mounted lighting components to reflect the state of the left and right turn signals and the brake light of the motorcycle as determined via the second control module and the lighting state sensing module. The first control module selectively actuates the haptic feedback module during operation of the motorcycle in response to at least one event associated with the motorcycle.
