Sole structure with proprioceptive elements and method of manufacturing a sole structure
A sole structure for an article of footwear comprises a midsole body having a proximal surface and a distal surface. Proprioceptive elements may extend in holes in the midsole body. The midsole body has an interior portion having a first density and an outer skin covering the interior portion. The outer skin has a second density that is greater than the first density, extends along each of the holes from the proximal surface to the distal surface, and forms a cylinder around each of the perforated holes. The midsole body has a greater compressive stiffness under loading along each central axis than under loading transverse or oblique to each central axis. A first set of proprioceptive elements have a third density different from a fourth density of a second set.
Article of footwear with a midsole assembly having a perimeter bladder element, a method of manufacturing and a mold assembly for same
An article of footwear has a midsole assembly that includes a fluid-filled bladder element having a substantially arc-shaped heel portion and having a lateral arm portion and a medial arm portion spaced from the lateral arm portion. Each of the arm portions extend from the heel portion. The bladder element is configured to be positioned with the heel portion in the heel region of midsole assembly, and the arm portions extending from the heel region to a forefoot region along a peripheral region. A method of manufacturing and a mold assembly for such an article of footwear are provided.
Article of Footwear
A method of making a sole for an article of footwear is disclosed. The method includes steps of attaching a double sided acrylic adhesive film to a composite plate. The composite plate is then attached to an outer member of the article of footwear using the acrylic adhesive film.
NEUTRAL POSTURE ORIENTING FOOTBED SYSTEM FOR FOOTWEAR
A footbed system for footwear comprises an insole mechanism, a midsole mechanism, wherein the insole mechanism is positioned on the midsole mechanism, and the outsole mechanism is positioned under the midsole mechanism. The insole mechanism comprises a footbed insole, a heel pad and a forefoot pad. The footbed insole comprises a pad anatomically shaped to correspond to the sole of a human foot, wherein the heel pad is positioned in the hindfoot portion of the footbed insole, and the forefoot pad is positioned in the forefoot portion of the footbed insole. The outsole mechanism comprises an opening for exposing a natural gait line groove of the midsole mechanism.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH INNER AND OUTER MIDSOLE LAYERS
An article of footwear comprises an outsole that has a bottom portion and a medial arch portion extending upward from the bottom portion. The medial arch portion of the outsole has a base and a plurality of protrusions extending outward from the base. The plurality of protrusions are arranged in vertical alignments. In each one of the vertical alignments, at least one protrusion of the plurality of protrusions is closer to the bottom portion and has a larger effective diameter than at least one other protrusion of the plurality of protrusions that is further from the bottom portion.

A method of making a sole for an article of footwear is disclosed. The method includes steps of attaching a double sided acrylic adhesive film to a composite plate. The composite plate is then attached to an outer member of the article of footwear using the acrylic adhesive film.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING A SOLE PLATE
An article of footwear having an upper and a sole structure includes an outsole having a ground-engaging surface at a bottom end of the sole structure, a midsole member disposed between the outsole and the upper, and a sole plate disposed between the midsole member and the upper. The midsole member has a top that is attached to the upper. A first side of the sole plate is configured to face the outsole and a second side of the sole plate is opposite the first side. A portion of the first side of the sole plate is visible from an exterior of the article of footwear through a cutout portion defined by the midsole member. A longitudinal channel extends from a heel end in a heel region toward a midfoot region, and the outsole includes multiple outsole portions that are spaced apart from one another.
PLATE WITH FOAM FOR FOOTWEAR
A sole structure for an article of footwear having an upper includes an outsole, a plate disposed between the outsole and the upper, and a first cushioning layer. The plate includes an anterior-most point disposed in a forefoot region of the sole structure, a posterior-most point disposed closer to a heel region of the sole structure than the anterior-most point, and a concave portion extending between the anterior-most point and the posterior-most point. The concave portion includes a constant radius of curvature from the anterior-most point to a metarsophalangeal (MTP) point of the sole structure. The MTP point opposes the MTP joint of a foot during use. The first cushioning layer is disposed between the concave portion and the upper.
SOLE ASSEMBLY FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
A sole assembly for an article of footwear having a midsole defining a sidewall channel in the forefoot and a sidewall channel in the heel. The forefoot and heel channels terminate at the arch. The sole assembly includes a plate disposed below the midsole. The plate may include an arch portion, forefoot legs extending along the medial and lateral sides of the forefoot and heel legs extending along the medial and lateral sides of the heel. The medial forefoot leg may extend almost the full length of the forefoot. The lateral forefoot leg may extend about half-way through the forefoot. The lateral heel leg may extend almost the full length of the heel. The medial heel leg may extend about half-way through the heel. The sole assembly may include an outsole with slots in the heel and forefoot. The slots may terminate short of the peripheral edge.
Article of footwear with inner and outer midsole layers
An article of footwear includes an outsole having a heel region, a midfoot region, and a forefoot region. An outer midsole layer is secured to the outsole and extends only over the heel region and at least some of the midfoot region. An inner midsole layer is supported by the outer midsole layer and the outsole without being fixed thereto, and extends over the heel region, the midfoot region, and the forefoot region. The outer midsole layer is configured to surround a periphery of the inner midsole layer at the heel region. The outsole may include lateral and medial arch portions for traction.
