Disclosed is a battery module including a battery stack having a structure, in which is stacked batteries, each including an electrode assembly, an outer case accommodating the electrode assembly, and an electrode lead, one side connected to the electrode assembly and an opposite side of which protrudes to an outside of the outer case. The battery module also includes a sensing assembly including a bus bar provided on one side of the battery stack and jointed to the electrode lead. The electrode lead includes a first electrode lead, and a second electrode lead having a polarity that is different from that of the first electrode lead. The battery includes a first battery, and a second battery spaced apart from the battery in a vertical direction, and areas in which the first electrode lead and the second electrode lead are spaced apart from each other in the vertical direction.

Disclosed is a battery module including a battery stack having a structure, in which is stacked batteries, each including an electrode assembly, an outer case accommodating the electrode assembly, and an electrode lead, one side connected to the electrode assembly and an opposite side of which protrudes to an outside of the outer case. The battery module also includes a sensing assembly including a bus bar provided on one side of the battery stack and jointed to the electrode lead. The electrode lead includes a first electrode lead, and a second electrode lead having a polarity that is different from that of the first electrode lead. The battery includes a first battery, and a second battery spaced apart from the battery in a vertical direction, and areas in which the first electrode lead and the second electrode lead are spaced apart from each other in the vertical direction.

A battery module includes a plurality of secondary batteries, each including an electrode assembly and an electrolyte accommodated in an inner space of an exterior case. The battery module also includes an electrode lead having a body and a plate-shaped head portion. A first end of the body is electrically connected to a positive electrode plate or a negative electrode plate of the electrode assembly, and a second end of the body protrudes outward from the exterior case. The plate-shaped head extends in both directions perpendicular to the protruding direction of the body from the second end. The battery module also includes a bus bar having a plate shape with a slit extending inwardly from one end thereof so as to receive a portion of the body. The electrode lead and the bus bar may be at least partially made of an electrically conductive material.

A metal-air cell comprises a negative electrode, a negative electrode case housing the negative electrode, sealed while a lead of the negative electrode extends from the negative electrode case, including a separator that forms at least part of the negative electrode case, an air electrode facing the negative electrode across the separator, and a cell case housing the negative electrode case and the air electrode and sealed while the lead of the negative electrode expands from the cell case and a lead of the air electrode expands from the cell case.

A metal-air cell comprises a negative electrode, a negative electrode case housing the negative electrode, sealed while a lead of the negative electrode extends from the negative electrode case, including a separator that forms at least part of the negative electrode case, an air electrode facing the negative electrode across the separator, and a cell case housing the negative electrode case and the air electrode and sealed while the lead of the negative electrode expands from the cell case and a lead of the air electrode expands from the cell case.

Provided are a pouch case for a pouch type secondary battery in which one corner is in close contact with a cooling plate and a pouch type secondary battery including the same. In the pouch case, by controlling a shape relation among a forming portion formed to have a non-zero depth determined in advance at a center to accommodate one side of an electrode assembly, a receiving portion in surface contact with a side surface of the electrode assembly at the time of sealing the pouch case, and a sealing portion for sealing opposing ends of the forming portion and the electrode assembly, a size of a sealing protrusion formed after the electrode assembly is packaged through mechanical properties of a metal laminate sheet and a simplified die and punch may be minimized.

An electrochemical apparatus includes a first electrode plate and a first tab. The first electrode plate includes a current collector and an active material layer disposed on the current collector. The current collector includes a first surface, a first side and a second side opposite to the first side; the first surface is provided with a first blank region and the first tab is electrically connected to the first blank region and protrudes from the first side. A first tab adhesive is provided on the first tab, where the first tab adhesive includes a first adhesive layer, and the first adhesive layer includes a third side facing toward the second side. A minimum distance D.sub.1 mm between the third side and the second side and a distance W mm between the first side and the second side satisfy D.sub.1<W.

An electrochemical apparatus includes an electrode assembly, a packaging film, and a first tab, where the first tab is electrically connected to the electrode assembly, the packaging film includes a first packaging film and a second packaging film which are located at two sides of the first tab, the first packaging film includes a first sealing zone, the second packaging film includes a second sealing zone, and the first sealing zone and the second sealing zone are bonded to seal the electrode assembly. The first sealing zone includes a first region and a second region, the first region covers a projection of the first tab on the first sealing zone, the second region connects to the first region, and a width of the second region is less than that of the first region.

An electrochemical apparatus includes an electrode assembly, a packaging film, and a first tab, where the first tab is electrically connected to the electrode assembly, the packaging film includes a first packaging film and a second packaging film which are located at two sides of the first tab, the first packaging film includes a first sealing zone, the second packaging film includes a second sealing zone, and the first sealing zone and the second sealing zone are bonded to seal the electrode assembly. The first sealing zone includes a first region and a second region, the first region covers a projection of the first tab on the first sealing zone, the second region connects to the first region, and a width of the second region is less than that of the first region.

A pouch-type secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate, a separator, and a second electrode plate; and a pouch film in which the electrode assembly is accommodated, wherein the pouch film includes a first side sealing portion from which a negative electrode lead connected to the electrode assembly protrudes, a second side sealing portion from which a positive electrode lead connected to the electrode assembly protrudes, and an upper sealing portion having both end portions connected to the first and second side sealing portions, and the pouch film includes a folded portion disposed on an end of the first side sealing portion and an end of the second side sealing portion, and folded toward a bottom portion of the pouch film, wherein the folded portion is folded in one direction.
