Electronic device with plug
09768487 · 2017-09-19 · ·

An electronic device includes a shell, a circuit board disposed in the shell, a plug and an antenna that are electrically connected to the circuit board, and a linkage mechanism disposed between the plug and the antenna. When the plug extends from the shell, the plug drives the linkage mechanism and drives, through the linkage mechanism, the antenna to be stretched, or when the antenna is stretched, the antenna drives the linkage mechanism and drives, through the linkage mechanism, the plug so as to enable the plug to extend from the shell.

Antenna devices having frequency-dependent connection to electrical ground

Antenna devices and techniques that provide specific control of the spatial distributions of DC and RF signals at various positions in a wireless apparatus are disclosed. The wireless apparatus includes various device components each having specifications for achieving desired operations in antenna devices.

METHOD AND DEVICE WITH OBJECT INACTIVATION

A device for inactivating an object, includes an electromagnetic wave generator configured to generate an electromagnetic wave having a resonant frequency of the object, and an antenna unit electrically connected to the electromagnetic wave generator and configured to omni-directionally transmit the electromagnetic wave to inactivate the object.

Insertable wireless communication device for a power tool

A wireless communication device configured to be removably received in a first compartment of a first power tool device of a first type or in a second compartment of a second power tool device of a second type different than the first type of the first power tool device. An electronic processor of the wireless communication device may be configured to determine whether the wireless communication device is coupled to the first power tool device of the first type or the second power tool device of the second type. The electronic processor may be further configured to set an operational characteristic of the wireless communication device based on the determination of whether the wireless communication device is coupled to the first power tool device or the second power tool device.

ELECTRONICS CARD INSITU TESTING APPARATUS AND METHOD UTILIZING UNINTENDED RF EMISSION FEATURES

A diagnostic apparatus for analysis, testing, inspecting and/or screening an integrated and assembled electrically powered equipment rack and its populated cards and devices for measurement of degree of device aging, improper operation, degradation, condition, and/or Remaining Useful Life (RUL). The device includes an antenna card with a detachably attachable antenna module that can be positioned at a distance from the electrically devices under test and a signal receiver or sensor for examining a signal from the electrically powered device, but especially applied to rackmount supported electronics and/or chassis based electronics. The receiver or sensor collects unintended and/or intended RF energy components emitted by the electrically powered device and performs the above analysis in a response to the acquired signal input while the electrically powered device is active or powered.

DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM CAPABLE OF OPTIMIZING MULTIPLE ANTENNAS
20210376447 · 2021-12-02 ·

A data processing system includes a display device, a proximity sensor, a wireless data processing apparatus, and an external antenna. The display device and the wireless data processing apparatus are connected. The display device is equipped with an internal antenna indirectly connected to a wireless communication module of the wireless data processing apparatus. The external antenna is electrically connected to the wireless communication module. A data processing circuit of the wireless data processing apparatus normally controls the wireless communication module to set signal transmission strengths of the antennas by using a first antenna control mode. When the proximity sensor detects an object located close to proximity sensor, the data processing circuit controls the wireless communication module to set the signal transmission strengths by using a second antenna control mode that includes at least decreasing the signal transmission strength of the internal antenna.

Insertable wireless communication device for a power tool

A power tool may include a compartment in its housing and a first printed circuit board (PCB) located in the housing and electrically coupled to a first connector. An insertable wireless communication device may include a second electronic processor and an antenna that are each mounted to a second PCB. The insertable wireless communication device may be configured to be received in the compartment and may include a second connector configured to electrically and physically couple to the first connector. The insertable wireless communication device may be configured to wirelessly communicate with an external device. When the insertable wireless communication device is inserted into the compartment, a first conductive layer of the first PCB may be configured to be electrically coupled to the antenna via the first connector and the second connector such that the first conductive layer of the first PCB serves as a ground plane of the antenna.
