MOTOR VEHICLE ROOF ANTENNA MODULE, MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE ROOF ANTENNA MODULE
20180375199 · 2018-12-27 ·

The disclosure refers to a roof antenna module and to a method for operating the roof antenna module, wherein a communication control unit couples at least one transceiver with at least one bus connection and communication messages are transmitted between the at least one transceiver and the at least one bus connection. This approach prevents undesired manipulation of the motor vehicle from the outside. This approach uses a filter device of the communication control unit, that forwards a control instruction to the at least one bus connection if the control instruction fulfills a predetermined safety criterion.

Low cost high performance aircraft antenna for advanced ground to air internet system

A high gain multi-beam aircraft blade antenna of an air-to-ground antenna systems includes multiple columnar matrix antenna elements housed within a blade. The elements are arranged to create independently steerable directed beams. A first independently steerable beam is used to provide communication. A second independently steerable beam is used to simultaneously search other signals.

Broadband blade antenna defining a kite-shaped outer profile

A broadband blade monopole antenna is disclosed. The broadband blade monopole antenna includes a body portion that is substantially flat to define a two-dimensional plane that the body portion extends along. The body portion defines an outer perimeter having four sides. The four sides are grouped into two pairs of equal-length sides positioned directly adjacent to each other. The broadband blade monopole antenna provides at least about 100% impedance bandwidth.

A Wireless Sensor System for a Vehicle

The invention is a wireless sensor and telemetry system for use on a vehicle such as an aircraft including at least one sensor node, a gateway, a user control system, data management and analytics means, wherein the sensor node is capable of sensing at least one type of operational performance or structural condition parameter data for the vehicle. Sensor node is attached to the vehicle in a specific location so that the data acquired gives information to the users of the system that relates to the operational performance or structural condition of the vehicle during operation. The sensor node wirelessly transmits the data it acquires to the gateway. The user control system enables person/s, to remotely operate and control the wireless sensor and telemetry system, by sending wireless operational control instructions to the system either via the gateway or directly to a particular sensor node or to a cluster of sensor nodes.

OMNIDIRECTIONAL ANTENNA USING ROTATION BODY

An omni-directional antenna using a rotator is disclosed. The omni-directional antenna is installed on the rotator having at least one rotation blade, and includes an antenna carrier unit disposed on at least one of top and bottom surfaces of the blade, and an antenna pattern unit formed on the antenna carrier unit.

Spacer and gasket assembly for use on an aircraft

A spacer and gasket assembly is shown for receipt between a static structure having a surface and fastener holes therethrough and a removable structure having a surface and fastener holes. The static structure and removable structure are engaged through a multiplicity of fasteners having a shaft diameter. The fasteners are adapted to apply a compression on the gasket between the static structure and the removable structure. The static structure and the removable structure have opposed, typically flat, facing surfaces. The spacer and gasket assembly comprising a substantially non-compressible spacer adapted for receipt between the static structure and the removable structure having a spacer thickness. A gasket has a sticky, deformable, flowable, elastomeric body and a skeleton having a skeleton thickness, the skeleton substantially integral with the body. The gasket has an uncompressed gasket thickness. The spacer and the gasket are adapted to be placed substantially between the facing walls of the static structure and the removable structure and the removable structure will compress and deform the gasket when the fasteners are torqued down.
