DIGITAL TACHO GRAPH APPARATUS HAVING EMBEDDED RADIO FREQUENCY ANTENNA
A digital tacho graph (DTG) apparatus for vehicles is disclosed. The DTG apparatus includes a metal terminal having one end connected to a printed circuit board (PCB) pattern unit connected to the wireless communication module, an RF antenna embedded inside the DTG apparatus and having one end connected to the other end of the metal terminal, and a front case unit, on which the other end of the RF antenna is formed by patterning, the front case unit serving as a front case of the DTG apparatus and enclosing the RF antenna inside the DTG apparatus. The wireless communication module and the embedded RF antenna are integrated, thereby reducing working time, increasing transmission and reception sensitivity, and reducing cost.
Method and system for establishing microlocation zones
A method and system of creating microlocation zones by defining virtual boundaries using a system of one or more transmitters and receivers with one or more spatially-correlated antennas.
System and method for MIMO wireless communication for a motor vehicle
A MIMO system is provided for a vehicle having an exterior structure and an enclosure. The system includes external antennas attached to the exterior structure and internal antennas positioned within the enclosure. The system further includes an RF transceiver and an antenna selecting device. The selecting device is disposable between a first state where the selecting device is configured to operably connect at least two of the external antennas to the RF transceiver and a second state where the selecting device is configured to operably connect one or more of the external antennas and one or more of the internal antennas to the RF transceiver. A controller is configured to actuate the selecting device to move to the second state, in response to the signal strength being above an upper strength threshold, and in further response to the ratio being above an upper ratio threshold.
Antenna apparatus and related communication systems for use with vehicle lamps
Antenna apparatus and related communication systems for use with vehicle lamps are disclosed. A disclosed communication system for a vehicle and a trailer includes a lamp positioned on the vehicle and a conductive structure coupled to a stylized component of the lamp. The communication system also includes a primary antenna at least partially formed by the conductive structure and electrically coupled to a vehicle electronic device. The communication system also includes a secondary antenna positioned on the trailer and electrically coupled to a trailer electronic device. The primary and secondary antennas, together, are configured to interact with each other to provide wireless communication between the vehicle and trailer electronic devices.
Devices with S-shaped balun segment and related methods
An electronic device may include a wireless circuit, and a coaxial cable device having an S-shaped balun segment coupled to the wireless circuit, and an antenna segment coupled to the S-shaped balun segment. The S-shaped balun segment may include a first inner conductor segment, and a first outer conductor segment surrounding the first inner conductor segment. The antenna segment may include a second inner conductor segment coupled to the first inner conductor segment, and a second outer conductor segment surrounding the second inner conductor segment and coupled to the first outer conductor segment, the second inner conductor segment extending from the second outer conductor segment.
SHIPPING CONTAINER INFORMATION RECORDATION TECHNIQUES
System and method for obtaining and recording information about cargo includes a frame defining a cargo-receivable compartment, a position determining system at least partly on the frame and that allows for determination of position of the frame, an identification system on the frame that obtains information about cargo when present in the compartment, a memory component that receives and records information about position and movement of the frame, and the obtained information about cargo when present in the compartment in association with a unique identification of the frame, and a communications system on the frame to enable communication of information to and from the memory component.
MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE SHORT RANGE SENSORS
A sensing system of a vehicle includes a control and a mounting carrier that supports a plurality of sensor units. The mounting carrier is configured to be disposed at the vehicle so that the plurality of sensor units have respective fields of sensing exterior of the vehicle. The mounting carrier includes structure to support the sensor units at an exterior structure of the vehicle so as to provide a desired field of sensing. The mounting carrier includes an electrical connector that is configured to electrically connect to an electrical connector of the vehicle. The sensor units are electrically connected to a circuit element that is electrically connected to the electrical connector of the mounting carrier. The control, responsive to outputs of the circuit element, determines the presence of one or more objects exterior the vehicle and within the field of sensing of at least one of the sensor units.
Embedded antenna system for a vehicle
An antenna assembly for a vehicle and a method of using the antenna assembly with a vehicle communication system. The assembly includes a substrate and an antenna array. The substrate may be sized for a radio frequency-friendly (RF-friendly) region in the vehicle, and the antenna array carried by the substrate. The antenna array includes two or more antennas configured for communication in different RF bands.
