TERMINAL FITTING
A terminal fitting including a cylindrical portion into which a mating terminal is to be inserted; and a contact beam provided inside the cylindrical portion, the contact beam extending toward an insertion direction of the mating terminal into the cylindrical portion, being elastically deformable along a deflection direction of the contact beam and including a protruding portion extending in a direction intersecting the deflection direction, and the cylindrical portion including a peripheral wall and an engagement portion to be engaged with the protruding portion to regulate a movement of the contact beam, the engagement portion including a first portion and a second portion protruding from the peripheral wall of the cylindrical portion toward an inside of the cylindrical portion to regulate the movement of the contact beam in the deflection direction and in the insertion direction respectively.
Low-Force Push-In Electrical Terminal
An electrical terminal includes a terminal base. A mate portion is attached to the terminal base and is adapted to mate with a corresponding electrical terminal. A conductor contact portion includes a box attached to the terminal base. The box defines an interior space. A lever extends from a wall of the box. The lever includes a curved portion that extends toward the terminal base. The lever is adapted to engage a conductor of a wire inserted into the box. The lever includes lift tabs that extend from the lever to outside the box.
Terminal, and electrical connector
A main body portion is to be mounted to a housing by being inserted into the housing. An electrical wire insertion portion is provided in an end portion of the main body portion, defines an insertion opening into which a leading end portion of an electrical wire is to be inserted, and is configured to restrict movement of the electrical wire in a direction perpendicular to the direction of insertion of the electrical wire into the insertion opening. A conductive body connection portion is provided in the main body portion and is configured to be electrically connected to a conductive body of the electrical wire inserted into the insertion opening. A partner connection portion is provided in the main body portion and is configured to be electrically connected to a partner terminal.
Spring clip electrically connecting a wire and electronic component
A holding and contacting device is disclosed. In an embodiment a holding and contacting device includes a cage defining a cable path through the cage and a spring element protruding into the cable path and configured to apply a clamping force onto a cable placed along the cable path, wherein the spring element and the cage comprise a metal.
Electrical connector
The present invention provides an electrical connector, comprising a shuttle member for receiving a stripped multi-core cable (such as a twin and earth conductor cable), the shuttle member including a core guide means and a resilient clip member for each of the stripped cores to be received. A body portion is configured to support at least one shuttle member in sliding engagement and includes an array of terminal connections, each connection having a shaped contact to receive a respective clip member of the shuttle member. Each shaped contact defines a jaw member operable to compress a respective clip member when the shuttle member is fully engaged with the body portion to thereby grip the stripped cores of the multi-core cable. The electrical connector has particular application as an electrical junction box for lighting circuits.
Flexing poke home contact
An electrical contact for use in connecting electrical wires is disclosed. The electrical contact includes a cage-like structure, a wire connecting portion, and a flexing contact portion. The cage-like structure includes a plurality of sidewalls and is configured to receive a wire. The wire connecting contact portion includes at least two contact tines that are configured to conductively couple with a corresponding wire. The flexing contact portion includes an end wall, an elastic portion, an extension portion, and a nose portion. The flexing contact portion can store elastic energy and apply a force to a corresponding electrical component.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR RENDERING ELECTRICAL CABLES SAFE
A safe grounding apparatus (SGA) for safely grounding or neutralizing the electrical conductors for permanent magnet motor (PMM) powered artificial lift systems and methods of practicing the same are disclosed. The SGA of the present invention ameliorates some of the dangers associated with PMM's. Methods of shorting, grounding, testing and monitoring the electrical conductors of a permanent magnet motor in order to safely manipulate the conductors are also disclosed.
Electrical connector for cables containing both power and control conductors
A connector for connecting control conductors provided in conduits also containing power conductors, the connector including a first guide for receiving a first at least one control conductor provided in a first conduit also containing at least one power conductor, a second guide for receiving a second at least one control conductor provided in a second conduit also containing at least one power conductor, at least one jumper for electrically connecting the first at least one control conductor and the second at least one control conductor and a housing for containing the first guide, second guide and the at least one jumper.
Push-in electrical terminal with insulation contact
An electrical terminal includes a terminal base. A mate portion is attached to the terminal base. The mate portion is adapted to mate with a corresponding electrical terminal. The electrical terminal includes a conductor contact portion. The conductor contact portion includes a box attached to the terminal base. A lever extends from one wall of the box. The lever is curved to extend toward the terminal base. The lever is adapted to engage a conductor of a wire inserted into the box. The electrical terminal also includes an insulation contact portion. The insulation contact portion is attached to the terminal base. The insulation contact portion is adapted to engage an insulation of the wire.
WIRE-TO-WIRE CONNECTOR WITH INTEGRATED WIRE STOP
A system includes a housing and a contact portion. The housing includes a first portion and a second portion, the first portion interlocking with the second portion so as to enclose a first volume and form a first wire opening within a first end of the housing and a second wire opening within a second end of the housing. The contact portion is disposed within the first volume and includes a first wire receiving portion, a first flexing beam extending from a first surface of the first wire receiving portion towards a second surface of the first wire receiving portion, a second wire receiving portion, a second flexing beam extending from a first surface of the second wire receiving portion towards a second surface of the second wire receiving portion, and a common wire stop disposed between the first wire receiving portion and the second wire receiving portion.
