Insert and method for connecting an electrical connection to a wall

The invention relates to an insert for connecting an electrical connector to a wall (9) and to a corresponding method. The insert comprises an electrically conductive bolt (1) having a head (3), which extends along a first longitudinal axis (I), and a shaft (4), which is provided with at least one connecting means (5), and a ring (2), which has a through-opening (7) and extends along a second longitudinal axis (II). The head (3) comprises an outer contour which, at least in regions, is produced by the rotation about the first longitudinal axis (I) of a first line (L1), which is curved with a first radius (R1) and spaced apart from the first longitudinal axis (1). The through-opening (7) comprises an inner contour which, at least in regions, is produced by the rotation about the second longitudinal axis (II) of a second line (L2), which is curved with a second radius (R2) and spaced apart from the second longitudinal axis (II).

MULTI-PHASE CONNECTOR FOR ELECTRIC POWERTRAIN SYSTEM

A multiphase connector for electric powertrain systems includes a terminal block and a plug member that are, at least in part, made from electrically conductive metal. The terminal block has at least one socket surrounding a retaining spring and the plug member has at least one contact pin configured to be inserted in to the at least one socket. The plug member can be engaged with the terminal block without use of installation tools and includes one or more cable gland assembly in contact with a shield of a shielded cable.

Connector with retention feature

A cable assembly and associated connector are provided. The cable assembly includes a connector and a length of cable for conducting an electrical current. The connector includes a connector body and a cap threadably engaging the connector body. The cap and connector body each include abutment surfaces arranged to interact with one another to provide a retention feature such that the cap is not inadvertently removed from the connector body.

Seal for an earthing bond

This invention relates to an earthing bond seal for sealing between a flanged bush of an earthing bond and a substrate with which the flanged bush is to form an electrical connection, the seal comprising: an upper surface for engagement with the flange of the bush; a lower surface for engagement with the substrate; and an opening extending between the upper and lower surfaces, wherein the upper surface is provided with a first recess configured to receive the flange of the bush.

A subsea connector cable connection system has an interface and a retainer. One of the interface and the retainer has an external screw thread on a cylindrical section and the other has a corresponding internal screw thread on a cylindrical section. The interface further includes a conical body extending from the cylindrical section and the retainer further includes a corresponding conical internal surface extending from the cylindrical section and adapted to be spaced from the surface of the conical body when the interface and retainer are screwed together. Interaction of the conical body and conical internal surface produces a first end stop adapted to stop axial movement of the retainer. A second end stop remote from the first end stop is provided, adapted to stop axial movement of the cable. In one embodiment the connector may include a locking mechanism whereby undoing the joint requires more torque than doing up the joint.
