The insulative housing has a bottom mounting portion having a cavity opening downwardly and a mating portion, the mating portion has a central mating space and a pair of side walls on both sides of the mating space, and a plurality of contact receiving passageways defined on each side wall. Each contact module has an insulator received in the cavity and a plurality of contacts insert-molded in the insulator, each contact defines a contacting arm and a soldering portion. The insulative housing defines a pair of locating portions extending downwards from two sides of the mounting portion, the distance between the pair of locating portions is smaller than an internal diameter of the cavity, a pair of demising slots are formed on an interior side of each locating portion for the contact modules passing through.
DEVICE CONNECTABLE TO A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD WITH HIGH PRECISION
A device may include a frame, a first leg extending from the frame, and a second leg extending from the frame, wherein each of the first leg and the second leg is curved in a respective direction, the respective directions being different.
CONNECTOR
A connector is provided in the present invention. The connector is suitable for being assembled on a circuit board, and the circuit board includes an upper surface and a lower surface, and the connector includes a body, a mandrel, at least three supporting rods and an elastic part. The body includes a head, a body and a tail, and the head and the tail are connected to opposite sides of the body. The mandrel is coaxially passed through the body and protrudes from the head. The at least three supporting rods are connected to the head. The elastic part is disposed on at least one of the at least three support rods. Wherein, when the connector is assembled on the circuit board, the at least three supporting rods are arranged parallel to the circuit board, at least one of the at least three supporting rods is located on the lower surface of the circuit board, and the mandrel is connected to the circuit board, and the head is supported against the circuit board.
SHAPE-MEMORY ALLOY LOCK FOR CONNECTORS
A first apparatus includes an electrical connector with an outer shell and an inner wafer, where the inner wafer is configured to slide into a cavity of the outer shell. The first apparatus further includes a shape-memory alloy coupled to a void in the outer shell and configured to interfere with an area on the inner wafer. A second apparatus includes an OTS connector with an outer shell and an inner wafer, where the inner wafer is configured to slide into a cavity of the outer shell. The second apparatus further includes a plurality of SMT leads of the inner wafer configured to mount onto a plurality of landing pads on a PCBA. The second apparatus includes a shape-memory alloy coupled to a void in the outer shell and configured to interfere with the inner wafer preventing movement of the inner wafer within the outer shell of OTS connector.
High reliability SMT receptacle connector
A receptacle connector having a plurality of airflow holes positioned to avoid heat buildup inside a receptacle shell, preventing deformation to the housing of a short, high density connector during solder reflow. The airflow holes may be in a bent portion joining a top face and rear face of the shell. The receptacle connector may be mounted to a substrate, such as a printed circuit board, leaving a gap between the connector and the substrate, forming an airflow passage between the substrate and the receptacle connector, enabling heated air to reach mounting portions of terminals of the connector during soldering, but reducing heat buildup within the shell. The passage, alone or in combination with a cutout in a face of the shell, may expose terminal contacts of the receptacle connector to provide for easy inspection and rework of the solder joints between the terminal contacts and the substrate.
BOARD CONNECTOR
A board connector (10) includes a receptacle (20) fittable to a mating connector and fixing members (60) for fixing the receptacle (20) to a circuit board (90). The receptacle (20) is in the form of a rectangular tube and has a pair of side walls (21) facing each other in a width direction and a bottom wall (22) and a ceiling wall (23) facing each other in a height direction. At least either the side walls (21) or the bottom wall (22) include(s) mounting recesses (31) for mounting the fixing members (60) within a wall thickness between an inner side surface and an outer side surface of the receptacle (20).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH IMPROVED SHIELDING EFFECT AND LOCKING STRUCTURE
An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector and a metal casing. The electrical connector includes an insulating body and a number of conductive terminals. The insulating body includes a slot. Each conductive terminal includes an abutting portion. The metal casing includes a receiving cavity. When a mating connector is inserted into the receiving cavity and has not yet made contact with the conductive terminals of the electrical connector, a better shielding effect can be achieved. Some of the abutting portions are adapted for electrically connecting with a circuit board, and some of the abutting portions of the conductive terminals are connected with a cable. The metal casing includes a hook portion locking with a lock surface of the circuit board. Therefore, the metal casing can be prevented from detaching from the circuit board in case an external force is applied to pull the cable.
Connector including sandwiched configuration
Provided is a connector including: at least one plate-like housing body; a plurality of groove-like terminal housing chambers each opened in an upper surface of the housing body and parallelly arranged; a plurality of connection terminals provided at ends of a plurality of electrical wirings and housed and disposed in the terminal housing chambers, respectively; an electrical wiring support part supporting the plurality of electrical wirings extending from a back end side opening part of the terminal housing chambers; a sheet-like reinforced member which is placed on an upper surface of the electrical wiring support part and the plurality of electrical wirings are fixed to in a state of parallelly arranged; and a cover part overlapping with the upper surface of the housing body to cover the terminal housing chambers and sandwiching the sheet-like reinforced member between the cover part and the electrical wiring support part.
