ELECTRICAL TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

In some embodiments, an electrical terminal includes a contact formed of a first material having a tensile strength, and a hood surrounding the contact, the hood formed of a second material having a tensile strength. The tensile strength of the second material is greater than the tensile strength of the first material. The contact and hood have cooperating retention features for securing the contact to the hood, and the hood provides strengthening features for improving the mechanical properties of the contact. The electrical terminal is mounted in a connector assembly. The electrical terminal has features which prevent or minimize damage to a seal of the connector assembly.

A terminal socket for an electrical terminal system configured to be mated with a terminal pin along a mating direction includes a wiring portion and an electrical contacting portion having a main body with a hollow space for receiving the mating terminal pin, wherein the main body has an external shape not showing a twofold rotational symmetry in a plane perpendicular to the mating direction, and in that the hollow space does not show a twofold rotational symmetry in said plane, or in that the main body has an external shape comprising a triangularly shaped portion, in particular triangularly shaped in a plane perpendicular to the mating direction. A terminal system uses the terminal socket and a terminal pin and a connector uses the terminal sockets in a housing.

Image display apparatus

An image display apparatus includes: a display panel; an LED substrate disposed on a back surface side of the display panel and on which an LED is mounted; a relay substrate disposed on the back surface side and on which a circuit unit is mounted; a first metal member disposed on the LED substrate and electrically connected with the LED; a second metal member disposed on the relay substrate, electrically connected with the circuit unit; and a reflective sheet that is electrically insulative and disposed between the display panel and both of the LED substrate and the relay substrate so as to cover at least the first metal member and the second metal member, the reflective sheet reflecting light from the LED toward a back surface of the display panel. When the first metal member and the second metal member are fitted with each other, an index hole is covered.

CONNECTOR

In a terminal accommodating chamber provided in a housing of a connector, a terminal to which an electric wire is connected is accommodated. The terminal is held by the engagement between a locking face of a lance molded in a terminal accommodating chamber and a locking target face provided in a box portion of the terminal. The locking target face is provided in a front ceiling plate molded by notching a ceiling plate of the box portion in a width direction to reach a facing plate outer face. The locking face and the locking target face are engaged with each other within a range wider than a facing plate inner face width of the facing plate.

A self-enclosed electrical assembly with a wire crimping structure, including an installation faceplate, a front assembly, and a back assembly affixed to each other using buckles. The front assembly includes a base plate and an open-top enclosure member extending perpendicularly from the base plate. Disposed inside the enclosure member are plug insertion pieces with wire receiving slots. The back assembly includes a top panel and a shell body extending perpendicularly from the top panel. Disposed within the shell body is a wire crimping structure, which includes a wire crimping block and an inserted member. The wire crimping block has multiple wire crimping notches respectively spatially corresponding to the wire receiving slots. After the back assembly and the front assembly are affixed to each other, the inserted member is used to press the crimping block to crimp the wires into the wire receiving slots.

CONNECTOR TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR

A connector includes a housing and a terminal held in the housing and to be mounted on a mounting member. The terminal includes a main body part inserted into a space formed in the housing and a mounting part provided continuously from the main body part and to be mounted on the mounting member. The main body part includes a bottom wall and a side wall provided continuously from the bottom wall. A groove is formed in the space. A tip of the side wall is inserted into the groove, and the groove guides insertion of the main body part into the space. The space includes an insertion opening opened toward the outside of the housing and an insertion main cavity which communicates with the insertion opening and in which to house the main body part of the terminal. The groove is formed in the insertion main cavity.

The present disclosure relates to a power connector which comprises an insulative housing and a terminal. The insulative housing defines a terminal receiving groove therein and comprises a stopping wall. The terminal is positioned in the terminal receiving groove and comprises a mating portion, a stopping portion and a wire connecting portion. The stopping portion abuts against the stopping wall and comprises a first horizontal portion and a second horizontal portion. The first horizontal portion comprises a first front end edge. The second horizontal portion comprises a second front end edge. A portion of a front end of the first horizontal portion and a portion of a front end of the second horizontal portion are cut off, therefore when the terminal clamps the wire, the first front end edge and the second front end edge do not splay forwardly and outwardly to protrude forwardly, but are parallel to each other or respectively extend backwardly, which thus can avoid the first front end edge and the second front end edge of the stopping portion from abutting against the stopping wall first due to the protruding.
