20190305440 · 2019-10-03 ·

An electric wire with a terminal includes: an electric wire including a conductor portion having conductivity and an insulator portion which covers the outside of the conductor portion and has an insulating property; a terminal connection portion electrically connected to a counterpart terminal; a conductor crimp portion crimped to the conductor portion; and a sheath crimp portion separated from the conductor crimp portion and crimped to the insulator portion. The sheath crimp portion includes a second base portion on which the insulator portion is mounted and a second barrel piece portion crimped with the insulator portion wrapped. In the insulator portion, the distance from an end on the conductor crimp portion side to the conductor crimp portion is relatively short, and the distance from an end on the conductor crimp portion side to the conductor crimp portion is relatively long.

An electrical connection box includes a housing and a connector assembly coupled to the housing. The connector assembly includes sockets for receiving plugs from a motor vehicle. The housing is formed to include a cavity that is designed to house electronic circuitry. The connector assembly includes at least one socket and at least one connector positioned within the socket. The connector is configured to create an electrical connection with an electrical plug that is received in the socket to electrically couple components of the vehicle with the electronic circuitry and minimize a voltage loss across the electrical connection.

Female terminal and connector

A female terminal comprises a main body, a main spring portion and an auxiliary spring portion. The main body forms a receiving portion. The receiving portion opens forward in a front-rear direction. The main spring portion has a first spring piece, a second spring piece and a contact portion. The contact portion is held between the first spring piece and the second spring piece in the front-rear direction. The auxiliary spring portion has a first support portion, a second support portion and a resilient supporting portion. The first support portion supports the first spring piece when a male terminal and the female terminal are connected with each other. The second support portion supports the second spring piece when the male terminal and the female terminal are connected with each other. The contact portion is positioned between the first support portion and the second support portion in the front-rear direction.

Power connector

The present disclosure relates to a power connector which comprises an insulative housing and a terminal. The insulative housing defines a terminal receiving groove therein and comprises a stopping wall. The terminal is positioned in the terminal receiving groove and comprises a mating portion, a stopping portion and a wire connecting portion. The stopping portion abuts against the stopping wall and comprises a first horizontal portion and a second horizontal portion. The first horizontal portion comprises a first front end edge. The second horizontal portion comprises a second front end edge. A portion of a front end of the first horizontal portion and a portion of a front end of the second horizontal portion are cut off, therefore when the terminal clamps the wire, the first front end edge and the second front end edge do not splay forwardly and outwardly to protrude forwardly, but are parallel to each other or respectively extend backwardly, which thus can avoid the first front end edge and the second front end edge of the stopping portion from abutting against the stopping wall first due to the protruding.

The present disclosure provides a conductive terminal and an electrical connector assembly. A power electrical connector is provided for transmitting electrical signals from a pair of cables, such as high current capable cables, to an associated member. The high power electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a pair of contact terminals with an additional insulative member that provides a barrier against electrical shock. In such cases a user is prevented for inadvertently touching the power terminals during use.

Terminal fitting

A terminal fitting (10) includes a body (11) in the form of a rectangular tube, a tab (41) of a mating terminal (40) being inserted into the body (11) from the front. A resilient contact piece (22) is accommodated in the body (11). The tab (41) is sandwiched resiliently in a plate thickness direction thereof between the resilient contact piece (22) and a receiving plate (15) of the body (11). Holding portions (30) are formed integrally to the resilient contact piece (22) and capable of holding the tab (41) with a relative displacement of the tab (41) in a width direction with respect to the resilient contact piece (22) restricted by coming into contact with side edges (41S) of the tab (41).

Terminal

A terminal (10) includes a rectangular tubular box (20) that is open in a front-rear direction. The box (20) includes a bottom wall (30), first and second side walls (40,50) rising from sides (31) of the bottom wall (30), a ceiling wall (60) extending from an upper edge (41) of the first side wall (40) toward the second wall (50) and an outer wall (70) extending from an upper end(51) of the second side wall (50) toward the first side wall (40) along an upper surface of the ceiling wall (60). A holding piece (74F) projects on an extending end part (73F) of the outer wall (70). A holding recess (45F) is provided on an upper end part of the first side wall (40) and receives the holding piece (74F) so that a part of the holding piece (74F) is located inside the box (20).
