CONNECTOR-EQUIPPED WIRE AND CONNECTOR HOUSING

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a feature making it easy to accommodate a terminal-equipped wire in a connector housing. This connector-equipped wire is provided with: a terminal-equipped wire comprising a jacketed wire and a terminal component that is provided to an end part of the jacketed wire; and a connector housing comprising a body component where a cavity has been formed and a cover component mounted onto the body component. A distal end part of the terminal component is accommodated in the cavity. A rear end part of the terminal component protrudes out to outside the cavity, and is covered by the cover component or by the cover component and the body component. In the state where the rear end part of the terminal component protrudes out to outside the cavity, the cover component can be mounted onto the body component in accordance with a sliding movement in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the cavity.

An electrical plug-type connector part includes a contact carrier, a protective housing, and a clamping bracket. The contact carrier has chambers for receiving contact elements connected to electrical connection lines. The protective housing is engaged over the contact carrier and has passage openings receiving the electrical connection lines. The clamping bracket is attachable to the protective housing and has elastic spring arms corresponding to the passage openings in the protective housing. When the clamping bracket is attached to the protective housing the spring arms extend into the passage openings and resiliently press the electrical connection lines received in the passage openings against an inner wall of the protective housing for the clamping bracket to thereby fix the electrical connection lines to the protective housing in a clamping manner.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes: a conductive terminal including: a connector-side connecting part; a substrate-side connecting part; and an L-shaped bent part therebetween; a housing including: a terminal-holding hole holding the conductive terminal between the connector-side connecting part and the bent part; and an opening capable of exposing the substrate-side connecting part. The opening is used for connecting a circuit substrate. An alignment member is attached toward the substrate-side connecting part of the conductive terminal so as to close the opening. The alignment member is engaged with the housing in a state where the substrate-side connecting part projects from a through hole for inserting the conductive terminal therein. The engaging unit preventing the substrate-side connecting part of the conductive terminal from moving to the bent part, is provided between the conductive terminal and the through hole.

A connector includes a connector housing (10) with a cavity (15B), into which a terminal fitting (40) is to be inserted. The connector housing (10) is connectable to a mating connector. A retainer insertion opening (30) opens in a side surface of the connector housing (10) and in a direction intersecting an inserting direction of the terminal fitting (40). A retainer (50) can be inserted into the retainer insertion opening to lock the terminal fitting (40). The retainer (50) includes a thin plate (61) extending in an inserting direction of the retainer (50), a convex portion (70) on a lower surface of the thin plate (61) and a groove (71) in the convex portion (70). A projection (25) is provided on a rear part of a locking lance (20) in the cavity (15B) of the connector housing (10) and fits to the groove (71).

JOINT CONNECTOR

In the process of mounting a joint terminal (5) into a first terminal accommodating portion (16) of a housing (15), tab terminals (6) of the joint terminal (5) move forward along tab entrance paths (26) formed in the housing (15). The tab entrance path (26) is formed with a cam portion (27) spiral about an axis thereof. As the tab terminal (6) moves forward in the tab entrance path (26), a follower portion (8) formed at an intermediate position of the tab terminal (6) is guided by the cam portion (27). Thus, the tab terminal (6) is twisted about an axis. In this way, resilient contact pieces (14) of female terminals (9A, 9B) face the tab terminals (6) in a plate surface direction of the tab terminals (6) and are connected to the tab terminals (6).

Dual row low profile high voltage connector and method for assemblying thereof

A dual row low profile high voltage connector, having a minimal height and meeting high voltage requirements and a method of assembling thereof, includes a male housing and a female housing, and further includes a terminal position assurance (TPA) device and a connector position assurance (CPA) device, the TPA device ensuring that a terminal, housed within the female housing, provides a secondary lock, so as to ensure that the terminal is secured or locked within the female housing. The CPA device assures that the male and female housings remain locked. The terminal is housed within the female housing to meet a minimal height requirement and having dual rows of terminals inserted therein the female. The TPA device and the CPA device function in pre-lock or full-lock positions. A method also improves clearance and creepage by allowing a clearance or electrical path to extend around an inserted TPA between terminals.

The object of the present invention is an insulating body (1) for a pluggable connector (10) intended to be connected to a junction block (100), said insulating body (1) comprising a housing (2) for conductive parts (11, 12) comprising a connection terminal (11) for a conductive wire intended to be connected to the pluggable connector (10), said housing (2) comprising a support portion (6) for the connection terminal (11) and being arranged to open on a side wall (3) of the insulating body (1) via an aperture (4) arranged on said side wall (3), the insulating body (1) comprising wedging means (7), said wedging means (7) being disposed in whole or in part within a portion of the housing (2) situated facing the support portion (6) of the housing (2).

Joint connector with contact retainer

A joint connector is provided. The joint connector includes a housing, receptacle terminals configured to be inserted into the housing and a retainer configured to be slidably inserted into the housing and displace the receptacle terminals in an insertion direction to fix the position of the receptacle terminals. Accordingly, defects that include an insertion of the terminals during fastening of the retainer to the housing are detected and the receptacle terminals are compressed by the retainer. The shapes of a top surface and a bottom surface of the retainer are formed in an asymmetrical structure to prevent an inverse insertion of the retainer. Simultaneously, a quality problem due to delamination of the retainer is prevented.
