Installation Element For Socket Elements
An apparatus provides temporary electrical connections to electrically powered devices. Exemplary arrangements include a base housing (01) that includes a socket (02) therein. Such a socket releasably engages electrical plugs to deliver household current, or may include USB ports or other types of sockets that releasably engage electrical connectors. A housing top cover (10) includes a socket access opening (11) that is in corresponding aligned relation with the socket. A rotatable plate (30) is positioned in underlying relation of the housing top cover and is rotatable in operative supported connection with the base housing. The rotatable plate includes at least one plate opening. The plate is selectively rotatable responsive to manual actuation of a button, between a socket blocked position in which an outer face of the plate blocks access through the socket access opening, and a socket access position in which the plate opening is in corresponding aligned relation with each of the socket and the socket access opening.
Adapter assembly
A power adapter assembly includes a first adapter and a second adapter. The first adapter comprises a first housing, pluralities of first electrical terminals and first signal terminals. The second adapter comprises a second housing, pluralities of second electrical terminals and second signal terminals. When the first adapter and the second adapter match with each other, a first latching element is axially coupled with the second latching element to a first position, wherein the two electrical terminals are coupled with each other. When an external force is provided, the first housing is radial with respect to the second housing, and rotates with each other until the two latching elements move to a second position to be securely fastened. The two signal terminals are coupled with each other to send an enabling signal to the control module, so as to enable the power transmission between the two electrical terminals.
Electrical device
An electrical receptacle including a body having a first cavity and a second cavity, a plurality of first electrical connections in the first cavity and a plurality of second electrical connections in the second cavity, at least one electrical plug sensing device in the first cavity, and wherein electrical continuity to the plurality of first electrical connections from the plurality of second electrical connections only occurs when the at least one electrical plug sensing device senses a presence of an electrical plug in the first cavity.
Connector cover with separate activation and latching mechanisms
An apparatus includes a connector cover and a lever arm coupled to the connector cover, the lever arm being shaped to accommodate a portion of an activating pin, wherein contact of the activating pin with the lever arm causes a movement of the connector cover from a first position to a second position. The apparatus includes a latch assembly comprising a clamp, the clamp in a clamped position preventing the connector cover from moving from the first position to a second position. The apparatus includes a first bracket with a first indentation, the first indentation being sized to accommodate a portion of a first locating pin, wherein an insertion of the first locating pin into the first indentation moves the clamp from the clamped position to an unclamped position, the unclamped position permitting the connector cover to move when activated by the insertion of the activating pin.
Systems and methods for transceiver connector protection
An information handling resource may include a housing configured to house electronic components, a connector configured to communicatively couple a cable to the electronic components, the connector configured to couple to the cable via a connector opening of the housing, and a connector cover rotatably coupled to the housing proximate to the connector opening and configured to rotate between a closed position in which the connector cover substantially covers the connector opening in order to obstruct contaminants entering the connector opening from an exterior of the housing and an open position allowing the cable to be inserted into the connector opening.
Weather resistant electrical cover
A weatherproof electrical cover for an electrical outlet having an electrical cover plate has a base having an open back surface. An opening is formed in a front surface of the base. A lid is hingly coupled to a front surface of the base. A securing device attaches the base over the electrical cover plate.
USB portable housing mechanism utilizing wires/cables and rubber bands/springs for linear and circular deployment and retraction
This mechanical design intends to protect the USB from environmental damage via transfer of linear and circular motion to a housing which houses the USB chip. Unlike other USB housing products with only linear or circular motion, this engineering design does both in order to secure the USB port and enclosing it completely rather than just concealing it, without requiring a separable component. The mechanism is secured in place by applying constant tensile force to the mobile/movable components of the present invention.
MAGNETIC POWER DISTRIBUTION ASSEMBLY
A magnetic charging assembly includes an insert and an adapter including opposing front and back surfaces. Pins extend from the back surface of the adapter, and the front surface includes an outlet configured to receive a plug. A first set of magnets is provided adjacent to the back surface. The insert includes a front surface, a plurality of pin receiving cavities extending inwardly from the front surface, and a second set of magnets is provided adjacent to an inner side of the front surface. The first set of magnets and the second set of magnets enable the adapter to attach to the insert. The set of pins and the pin receiving cavities are electrically conductive such that, when the pins of the adapter are received by the pin receiving cavities of the insert, power is provided through the outlet of the adapter.
CHARGING SYSTEM FOR A MOBILE DEVICE
A supply charging device includes a supply power connector having a supply housing coupled to a panel having a guide member configured to engage a guide feature of a receive power connector to guide mating. The supply power connector includes a door closing a supply contact chamber holding supply power contacts. The supply charging device includes a float element engaging the panel to allow floating of the supply power connector relative to the panel for aligning the mating end of the supply power connector with the receive power connector. A sealing boot is coupled to the housing and the panel to provide an environmental seal between the supply power connector and the panel. The sealing boot is flexible to maintain sealing as the supply power connector floats relative to the panel.
LOCKING POWER CORD RECEPTACLE
A locking power cord receptacle configured to receive an electric power cord plug that includes a ground pin comprises a base receptacle and a locking assembly. The base receptacle includes a first female connector, a second female connector, and a ground female connector positioned on an upper surface and arranged to receive the power cord plug. The base receptacle further includes a body cavity on the upper surface. The locking assembly has a locked state in which the locking assembly blocks access to the base receptacle and an unlocked state in which the power cord plug can be plugged in to the base receptacle. The locking assembly includes a locking cover and a locking component. The locking cover includes a disc and a sleeve coupled to the disc and the base receptacle. The locking component is retained in the body cavity and has a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration.
