It is aimed to provide a connector capable of dealing with a change in the number of poles without structurally changing a mating connector. Housings (11) for accommodating terminal fittings (12) electrically connectable to tab-like terminals (52) include a main housing (11M) having a locking structure (21) for locking a mating connector (52) and a plurality of types of sub-housings (11S) having different number of poles and selectively unitable with the main housing (11M). The main housing (11M) and the sub-housing (11S) are united by coupling side surfaces to each other. A tab insertion groove (25) into which the tab-like terminal (52) is to be inserted at the time of connection to the mating connector is formed in a coupling part of the united housings (11).

COVER ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

A connector assembly having a cover assembly housing a first electrical component and a second electrical component. The cover assembly includes a mating connector receiving recess, a first component receiving recess and a second component receiving recess. A separating wall mechanically and electrically separates the first component receiving recess from the second component receiving recess. Latches are positioned in the first and second component receiving recess proximate the mating connector receiving recess. The latches cooperate with the electrical components to maintain the electrical component in the component receiving recesses. A seal is provided about an inside perimeter of the mating connector receiving recess. Bus bars electrically connect the first electrical component to the second electrical component. Wherein when the cover assembly is mated to the mating connector, a sealed compartment is provided that protects the first electrical components and the second electrical components from the environment.

Mounting device

A mounting device is disclosed. The mounting device has a handle rotatable between an open position and a closed position. The handle has latching features at each end that couple to mating latching features. As the handle is rotated from its open position towards its closed position, the latching features force the handle towards the mating latching features.

A slide lever (30) provided on a fit-in side housing (F) includes cam functioning portions (31) configured to enter the receptacle (11) in the process of connecting the waiting side housing (M) and the fit-in side housing (F), and the cam functioning portions (31) are formed with cam grooves (32) to be engaged with cam followers (15) in the process of connecting the two housings (F, M). An operating portion (33) projects substantially parallel to a moving direction of the slide lever (30) from rear end parts of the cam functioning portions (31) in an entering direction into the receptacle (11) and is arranged forwardly of a front face (S) of the panel (P).

Connector housing, mating connector housing and system

A connector housing for an electrical connector includes a housing part and a shielding element disposed on the housing part. The shielding element has a contact spring contacting a shielding part of a mating connector housing. The contact spring is bent and pressed against the shielding part during a plugging operation between the connector housing and the mating connector housing.
