JOINT SYSTEM FOR ORBITAL AND EXTRA ORBITAL STRUCTURES
20210094708 · 2021-04-01 ·

A joint system for constructing orbital and extra-terrestrial structures includes a node receptacle having a node surface and a finger receiver projecting outwardly of the node surface, and a strut element including a support member, a finger element shiftably supported on the support member, a shell system shiftably supported on the support member and connected to the finger element, and an actuator mounted to the support member and operatively connected with the shell system. The actuator is operable to shift the finger element and the shell system into contact with the node receptacle. The finger element cooperates with the finger receiver to form a first load path and the shell system cooperating with the node surface to form a second load path.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES TO CONNECT AN ELECTRICAL POWER SOURCE TO AN ELECTRICAL POWER GRID INSTALLATION
20230412122 · 2023-12-21 ·

Various implementations of systems, devices, and methods to connect an electrical power source safely to an electrical end user household mains grid installation. In an exemplary implementation, a solar energy module is connected to a typical mains power outlet wall socket using a mains power plug. Potentially live male-shaped connectors of the mains power plug are, for example, isolated and/or disconnected from the electrical power source so that the male-shaped connectors of the unplugged mains power plug are safe for users and bystanders even if the power source produces electrical energy and, therefore, the mains power plug is at least partially live.

Connector housing, adapter, and modular electrical plug connector system comprising the same

A connector housing of a modular electrical plug connector system comprises a plurality of substantially identical passages arranged side by side. Each passage is configured to accommodate and lock an electrical connector module of a first predetermined type. At least one passage comprises an adapter receiving interface configured to receive, in a removable manner, an adapter for supporting and locking an electrical connector module of a second predetermined type, different from the first predetermined type.

Connector

In order to eliminate the need to provide a connector including a side retainer with an additional waterproof seal for the side retainer, the connector includes a terminal holder in which the side retainer is mounted, and the terminal holder is configured to define access passages such that a tool for moving the side retainer between first and second positions can be inserted into an inlet of the terminal holder so as to reach inclined cam surfaces of the side retainer and move the side retainer.

Connector assembly

Disclosed is a connector assembly having a first connector part and a second connector part. The first connector part includes a lever mounted on a base body of the first connector part for pivotable movement about a pivot axis (C) between first and second positions relative to the base body. The connector assembly can be brought from a ready-to-mate state into a mated state by relative movement of the first and second connector parts towards each other along a connection axis and vice versa. At least one engaging portion of the lever interacts with at least one counter-engaging portion of the second connector part in such a way, that the connector assembly is forcibly brought from the mated to the ready-to-mate state by pivoting the lever from the first position into the second position when the connector assembly is in the mated state.

ELECTRIC CONNECTOR WITH CONNECTOR POSITION ASSURANCE

An electric connector assembly includes a housing and an assist lever is attached to the housing for relative rotational movement. The electric connector assembly includes a latch that retains the assist lever in a final position relative to the housing. The electric connector assembly also includes a connector position assurance that is attached to the housing for relative movement between a pre-lock position and a locked position. When the connector position assurance is in the locked position, it extends into a notch in the assist lever and prevents rotation of the assist lever relative to the housing.

Plug connector having a housing module with two housings interlocked by deformed tongue having two legs

A plug connector includes: a housing module having a mating end and including a first housing and a second housing assembled with the first housing to define a cavity therebetween; and a mating board received in the cavity and exposed to an exterior at a position close to the mating end; wherein the first housing has a main portion and a tongue extending from the main portion, the second housing has a receiving space receiving the tongue, and the tongue is deformed to latch within the receiving space.

CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH CONNECTOR POSITION ASSURANCE MEMBER

The present disclosure relates to a connector assembly with a connector position assurance member which may reduce a defect rate in engaging connectors to each other, and an object of the present disclosure is to provide a connector assembly in which a connector position assurance (CPA) member is automatically operated to lock a lever when the lever completes its operation for engaging the female and male connectors to each other.

Coupling connector comprising a slider part
10910764 · 2021-02-02 · ·

A connector system with a primary connector and a coupling connector, and a method for connecting a coupling connector and a primary connector. The system provides an insertion aid for mating the connectors. The connector system has a primary connector with a connecting part and a coupling connector with a base unit and a connecting part. The coupling connector has a slider part that moves relative to the base unit to either a preliminary position or a final position. The connecting part of the coupling connector mates with the connecting part of the primary connector. The slider part and the primary connector each have at least one guiding component which both interact to enforce a predefined motion path of the slider part relative to the primary connector when the coupling connector is coupled with the primary connector and the slider part is moved from the preliminary position to the final position.
