A lever-type connector has a lever (24) with a cam groove (28) curved to approach a center of rotation (13) of the lever (24) from an entrance (28E) to a back side. Rotation of the lever (24) from an initial position to a connection position causes cam projections (23) of a moving plate (18) to displace in the cam groove (28) and to approach the center of rotation (13) of the lever (24) while sliding in contact with a cam pin (41) of a female housing (40). The cam projections (23) displace in an escaping space (31) of the lever (24) without changing a positional relationship with respect to the center of rotation (13) of the lever (24) as the lever (24) is rotated from the initial position to the connection position in a state out of contact with the cam pin (41).

Lever-type connector

A lever-type connector according to one aspect of the present disclosure is provided with a housing including an opening and a lever. The housing includes a pair of side walls and a pair of coupling walls. The lever includes a pair of arm portions and an operating portion. The lever attaches and detaches the housing to and from a mating connector as being rotated between a first position where the lever is upright with respect to an axis of the housing and a second position where the lever is inclined away from the opening. The housing and the lever include first restricting portions for restricting rotation of the lever from the first position toward the opening by interfering with each other. The first restricting portions include the coupling wall facing the operating portion with the lever located at the first position.

Lever-type connector

A lever-type connector (A) includes a connector body (10). A lever (30) has a base end (32) rotatably supported on the connector body (10) and a rotating portion (34) for rotational operation is formed on a tip (33) of the lever (30). A finger contact surface (59) is disposed on an outer surface (58) of the rotating portion (34) and is configured to receive contact of a finger during a rotational operation. A resilient lock (51) is formed on the connector body (10) and is configured to lock the lever (30) in a rotation restricted state. Unlocking portions (53) are formed on the resilient lock (51) and are configured to press the resilient lock (51) in a direction separating from the lever (30). The unlocking portions (30) are exposed on the outer surface (58) of the lever (30) with the resilient lock (51) and the lever (30) locked together.

A lever-type connector (F) includes a housing (10) formed with support shafts (26) and rotation restricting portions (20F, 20R). A lever (30) includes plate-like arms (31) and is rotatable between an initial position where the lever waits at the start of connection to a mating connector (M) and a connection position where the connection to the mating connector (M) is completed. The lever (30) is mounted by fitting bearing holes (34) of the arms (31) to the support shafts (26). Reverse rotation restricting projections (45) project from surfaces of the arms (31) facing the housing (10) toward the housing (10) and are configured to be locked to the rotation restricting portions (20F, 20R) to restrict rotation of the lever (30) at the initial position toward a side opposite to the connection position.

Connector device

A connector device comprises a connector and a mating connector mateable with each other. The connector comprises a housing, a sub-housing movable relative to the housing and a detection terminal held by the sub-housing. The mating connector comprises a mating housing and a mating detection terminal held by the mating housing. The housing is turnable about a shaft thereof relative to the mating housing. The sub-housing has a guided portion. The mating housing has a guide portion. While the housing is turned relative to the mating housing, the guide portion guides the guided portion to move the sub-housing relative to the housing. As a result, the detection terminal is moved downward along an upper-lower direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the shaft to be connected to the mating detection terminal.

A connector comprises an interlock busbar adapted to be inserted into an interlock connector and short-circuit a pair of first conducting wires of a mating connector, a clip busbar adapted to pinch and short-circuit a pair of terminals of the mating connector, a housing, a lever, and a slider supported on the housing and slidable between an unmating position and a mating position. The lever removes the short circuit of the pair of first conducting wires by pulling out the interlock busbar from the interlock connector according to a first-half turning operation. The slider at the mating position blocks a second-half turning operation by interfering with the lever at an end of the first-half turning operation of the lever, and allows the second-half turning operation of the lever after a sliding operation of the slider to the unmating position.

Lever release for lever mated connector assembly

An electrical connector assembly having a first housing, a second housing and a lever member. The first housing includes lever retention arms with holding projections. The second housing is matable with the first housing and has latch release projections and mating posts. The lever member is rotatably attached to the first housing to rotate from a first position to a second position. The lever member includes securing members and post engaging members. The securing members are configured to cooperate with the holding projections of the lever retention arms when the first housing is in the initial position to retain the lever member in the first position. The latch release projections are configured to release the holding projections of the lever retention arms from the securing members as the first housing is moved toward the final position, allowing the lever member to rotate to its second position.
