A lever-type connector (1) has a connector housing (10), and a lever (20) including cam plates (21) having cam grooves (23) for receiving cam followers (34) of a mating housing (30). The lever (20) includes push-back pieces (27) retracted from an opening edge (13E) of the connector housing (10) facing the mating housing (30) and extending from the cam plates (21). The connector housing (10) includes push-back piece receiving portions (18) configured to bias the lever (20) from a proper connection position to an initial position by butting against the push-back pieces (27) when the lever (20) is at the proper connection position. An angle (a) of a corner part (C) formed by a line connecting a center of rotation of the lever (20) and a base (27R) of the push-back piece (27) connected to the cam plate (21) and the push-back piece (27) is larger than 90°.

Plug connection having a locking clip having a catch, and method for locking and unlocking a plug connection

A plug connector having two housings and a locking clip and a catch for locking and unlocking the two housings is provided, wherein the locking clip is rotatably mounted on one of the two housings. The catch comprises at least one part and is arranged on the locking clip. It has a folded-out position and a folded-in position. In addition, the catch has at least one articulated connection and is formed in the shape of a Z-beam or Z-support. The catch prevents inadvertent opening and closing of the locking clip with simultaneously simple handling for the user. Methods for locking and unlocking a plug connection are also provided. The catch 2 when folded down (FIG. 1) blocks the locking clip 1 against movement to an unlocked position. The catch 2 when folded upward (FIG. 2) permits free motion of the locking clip 1 to the unlocked position to permit separation of the housings.

Electrical connector with male blade stabilizer
09748692 · 2017-08-29 · ·

An electrical connector can include a male blade stabilizer that protects one or more male blade terminals from external objects before, during, and after coupling of the male connector to a female connector. The male blade stabilizer can be slidably disposed within a housing of the male connector and configured to retract when the female connector is coupled to the male connector and extend when the female connector is decoupled from the male connector. The male blade stabilizer is moveable from an extended position to a retracted position when a lever lock of a lever is resiliently deflected by the engagement of a female housing with the male housing to a pre-set position.

Electrical connector with mating interlock members

An electrical connector comprises a first housing, a second housing, a lever adapted to couple the first housing and the second housing with each other, a first interlock member, a second interlock member, a first cam mechanism adapted to mate the first housing and the second housing with each other with movement of the lever in a first direction, and a second cam mechanism. The second interlock member is configured to be mated with the first interlock member to energize an electric circuit. The first cam mechanism limits a moving direction of the lever to a second direction after moving in the first direction. The second cam mechanism is adapted to convert the movement of the lever in the second direction into movement in a mating direction of the first housing and the second housing to mate the first interlock member with the second interlock member.

CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH SEALED SYMMETRICAL SPLIT LEVER

The present disclosure provides a connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a connector housing adapted to engage with a corresponding counter-connector housing. A lever including a first lever arm and a second lever arm is pivotably and sealingly mounted to the connector housing. Each lever arm includes interlocking means for connecting the first lever arm to the second lever arm at a first location. The interlocking means of each of the first lever arm and the second lever arm are configured to define complementary symmetrical surfaces that interlock with one another when the lever arms are pivotably mounted to the connector housing. On mounting the lever arms to the connector housing, the lever is configured to move about the connector housing between an open state and a closed state to secure the counter-connector housing to the connector housing.

CONNECTOR POSITION ASSURANCE WITH IDENTIFICATION FEATURE

A lever-type connector 10 disclosed by this specification includes a housing (20), a lever (40), a cover (50) and a lever lock portion (23) provided to extend backward from a rear end (22) of the housing (20) and hold the lever (40) at a rear position by locking an operating portion (42). The cover (50) is composed of an upper cover (52) and a lower cover (51) to be assembled below the upper cover (52). The upper cover (52) includes an upper locking portion (56) configured to cover an upper lock receiving portion (24) provided on the rear end (22) of the housing (20) from above and lock the upper lock receiving portion (24) from front and the lever lock portion (23) is arranged along an upper surface of the upper cover (52).

Lever-type electrical connector with connector positioning assurance member

An electrical connector comprising a cover, a mating assist lever pivotally mounted to the cover and configured to pivot between an open position and a closed position, and a connector positioning assurance (CPA) member slideably mounted to the cover and configured to slide between an inoperative position and a locked position. The CPA member comprises a flexible locking arm that is bendable between a bent position and a rest position. The flexible locking arm comprises a blocking ramp that cooperates with a blocking shoulder on the cover to generate a first threshold force resisting the CPA member from sliding from the inoperative position to the locked position and a locking ramp that cooperates with the locking shoulder on the mate assist lever to bend the flexible locking arm from the rest position to the bent position to prevent the blocking ramp and the blocking shoulder from cooperating.
