Easy release board to board connector
A connector assembly for connecting an upper circuit board to a lower circuit board is disclosed. The upper circuit board includes a series of fastener holes for a fastening device allowing attachment to the lower circuit board. The connector assembly has a support bracket with access holes aligned with the holes of the upper circuit board. The support bracket is configurable to be positioned over the upper circuit board. The connector assembly has a moveable cover bracket having a series of access holes. The cover bracket is suspended between the support bracket and the cover bracket. The cover bracket is moveable between an open position aligning the access holes with the access holes of the support bracket, and a closed position. In the closed position, the cover bracket blocks access between the access holes of the support bracket and the holes of the upper circuit board.
Card edge connector having an insulative housing with recessed portions on outer surfaces thereof
A card edge connector includes: an elongated insulative housing comprising two longitudinal walls, a center slot defined between the longitudinal walls, and plural terminal receiving passageways arranged along the longitudinal walls; and plural terminals fixed in the terminal receiving passageways, wherein each of the longitudinal walls defines a first recessed portion extending along a longitudinal direction and plural second recessed portions extending upwardly from the first recessed portion at an outer surface thereof, the second recessed portions are arranged at intervals along the longitudinal direction, the first recessed portion goes through a bottom face of the longitudinal wall, and the second recessed portions does not go through a top of the longitudinal wall.
Connector with high reliability of returning a protection member to a partial locking position
A connector has a protection member movable to a partial locking position and a full locking position with a male tab positioned in a receptacle of a male housing. The female housing includes a hook, and the protection member includes a hooked portion capable of contacting the hook at the full locking position. The receptacle includes a contact portion capable of contacting the hooked portion when the protection member is at the partial locking position. The protection member is movable from the full locking position to the partial locking position with the hooked portion held in contact with the hook. The protection member is stoppable at the partial locking position in a state where the hooked portion is in contact with the contact portion to be deflected in a direction separating from the hook.
ELECTRICAL INTERFACE FASTENERS
A mechanical fastener for an electrical interface may include a first handle and a second handle The first handle and second handle are located on opposite sides of the mechanical fastener. The mechanical fastener may also include a first housing, a second housing coupled to the first housing, an electrical interface housed in the mechanical fastener between the first and second housings, a first lever intermediary between the first handle and the first housing and mechanically coupled to the second handle, a second lever intermediary between the second handle and the second housing and mechanically coupled to the first handle, a first post coupled to the first handle and the second lever, and a second post coupled to the second handle and the first lever.
REDUCED-FRICTION CARD-EDGE CONNECTOR SOCKET
A socket for a card-edge connector comprises a bottom frame end, a top frame end, a first frame portion, a second frame portion, and a slot. A card-edge connector inserted into the slot may proceed from the from the top frame end towards the bottom frame end between the first frame portion and second frame portion. The socket may comprise a pin contact in the first frame portion. The pin contact may comprise a bottom pin that protrudes out of the first frame portion into the slot near the bottom frame end, a pin shaft located within the first frame portion and connected to the bottom pin section, and a top pin section connected to the pin shaft and located within the first frame portion. The socket may comprise a pin fulcrum located within the first frame portion. The pin fulcrum may contact the pin shaft at a fulcrum point.
LOCKING CLIP FOR AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HOUSING
An electrical connector housing is provided with at least one locking clip, which is mounted pivotably via a bearing pin and has a locking region and an actuation region. In order to reversibly lock the electrical connector housing to a mating electrical connector housing, the locking region engages overbearing journals integrally moulded on the mating electrical connector housing. The locking clip has a locking device or means for blocking the pivot movement of the locking clip. In this manner, an accidental release of the plug-in connection can be prevented.
Connector With An Extendable Lever Assembly
A connector includes a connector housing having a coupling side for coupling with a complementary connector along a connection direction and a lever assembly including a lever for coupling with the complementary connector. The lever is pivotable around an axis of rotation on the connector housing. The axis of rotation extends essentially perpendicular to the connection direction. The lever extends in at least one position in the connection direction away from the axis of rotation toward the coupling side. The lever assembly has an extension that is movable relative to the lever and that extends the lever assembly in an extended state away from the axis of rotation.
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD MOUNTED CONTACTORS
A printed circuit board (PCB)-mounted contactor including a PCB with planar surface, source and load terminals fixed to the PCB, and a contact. The contact is supported by the PCB and is movable between open and closed positions. Movement of the contact is parallel to the planar surface. Electrical assemblies having PCB-mounted contactors and methods of controlling current flow in electrical systems with PCB-mounted contactors are also described.
CONNECTOR
HOUSING WITH LATERAL HOOKS
A fluid ejection device, in an example, that includes a housing with the housing including a plurality of lateral hooks to engage with a plurality of posts of a connector, the lateral hooks running, at least partially, parallel to a cable receiving surface wherein a portion of a printed circuit board (PCB) comprising electrical interconnects extends beyond the cable receiving surface to interface with the connector.
