Electrical Connector with Assist Lever

An electrical connector includes a first housing. A second housing is moveable relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a lever mounted on the first housing for relative rotational movement. The lever may move between a pre-stage position and a final position. The lever engages the second housing to move the second housing linearly between a pre-stage position and a seated position relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a pre-lock that retains the lever in the pre-stage position relative to the first housing. A pre-lock release on the second housing releases the pre-lock when the second housing is in the pre-stage position relative to the first housing. Releasing the pre-lock allows movement of the lever relative to the first housing.

The lever engages the second housing to move the second housing linearly between a pre-stage position and a seated position relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a lock that retains the lever in the final position relative to the first housing. The electrical connector also includes a connector position assurance. The connector position assurance is mounted on the first housing for relative movement between an initial position and an assurance position. When the lever is in the final position and the connector position assurance is in the assurance position, the connector position assurance engages the lever and prevents the lever from being moved away from the final position.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH ASSIST LEVER

An electrical connector includes a first housing. A second housing is moveable relative to the first housing and includes a travel peg. The electrical connector also includes a lever. The lever includes two lever arms that are joined by a handle. Each of the lever arms is attached to the first housing and allows relative rotational movement of the lever about a lever axis. The lever may be moved from a pre-stage position to a final position. The lever engages the travel peg to move the second housing linearly in an insertion direction from a pre-stage position to a seated position relative to the first housing. The travel peg moves along a peg path when the second housing is moved from the pre-stage position to the seated position. The peg path is located between the lever axis and the handle.

Electronic device testing apparatus with locking mechanism for pressing header and socket plate
10254308 · 2019-04-09 · ·

An electronic device testing apparatus with a locking mechanism for locking a press head and a socket plate is provided. When an electronic device is to be tested, a lifting arm is lowered so that a contact portion is in contact with the electronic device, and a locking mechanism is actuated to detain the press head on the socket plate. A pressing force generating device exerts a pressing force onto the electronic device and the socket plate, and at least a portion of a reaction force can be directed back to the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is adapted to detain the press head on the socket plate. When the pressing force generating device generates a predetermined pressing force to certainly establish electrical connection between the electronic device and the chip socket, the reaction force produced by the chip socket may be distributed over the locking mechanism.

Electrical distribution center with terminal stabilizing terminal position assurance member

An electrical distribution center includes a housing, an electronic device, an upper fixing member, a printed circuit board (PCB), a lower fixing member and a connector. The upper fixing member has a first inserting hole. Pin terminals of the electronic device pass through the first inserting hole and are connected to the PCB. A connector mounting slot for fixing the connector is arranged on the lower fixing member. A second inserting hole and a guide rod member are arranged in the connector mounting slot. A TPA member is sheathed on the guide rod member. The TPA member has a third inserting hole. Pin terminals of the connector pass through the third inserting hole and the second inserting hole and are fixed in the connector mounting slot with the TPA member. The pin terminals of the connector are connected to the PCB after passing through the first inserting hole.
