The present disclosure provides a connector capable of simplifying the configuration thereof and enhancing the versatility of terminals to be connected. One end of a busbar includes a first connecting portion to be connected to a device-side terminal, and the other end of the busbar includes a second connecting portion to be connected to a wire-side terminal. Each housing is molded using each busbar as an insert and held in close contact with a peripheral surface of each busbar. The respective first connecting portions and the respective second connecting portions are exposed outside the respective housings. The respective first connecting portions are located on a straight line A1 along an extending direction Y, and the respective second connecting portions are located on a straight line A2 along an orthogonal direction Z.

Receptacle module and receptacle cage for a communication system

A communication system includes a plug module having a plug housing and a plug latch and a receptacle module having a receptacle housing and a receptacle latch. The receptacle module includes a receptacle connector with a card slot receiving a plug module circuit board. The receptacle connector includes cables terminated to contacts and extending from the receptacle connector. A receptacle cage includes a front cage interface receiving the plug module and a rear cage interface receiving the receptacle module. The front cage interface matches the rear cage interface including a front latching feature and a rear latching feature interfacing with the plug and receptacle latches.

MATING MODULE AND CABLE CONNECTOR

A mating module includes a conductive terminal, a cable, a first metal shield member and a second metal shield member. The cable includes a core electrically connected to the conductive terminal, an insulating layer wrapped on the core, and a shielding layer wrapped on the insulating layer. The first metal shield member includes a first mounting piece. The second metal shield member includes a second mounting piece. The cable further includes a protruding piece connected to the shielding layer. The protruding piece is directly or indirectly clamped by the first mounting piece and the second mounting piece. As a result, the shielding effect of the mating module is improved. The present disclosure also relates to a cable connector having the mating module.

The first liquid cooling tray is provided to a top portion of the upper cage and constitutes an upper wall surface of each of the plurality of insertion space of the upper cage. The second liquid cooling tray is provided between the upper cage and the lower cage, constitutes a lower wall surface of each of the plurality of insertion spaces of the upper cage, and constitutes an upper wall surface of each of the plurality of insertion space of the lower cage. A pressuring spring corresponding to each insertion space of the upper cage is provided on the upper surface of the second liquid cooling tray, and a pressuring spring corresponding to each insertion space of the lower cage is provided on the bottom plate.

The heat dissipating member is capable of moving between a releasing position which is higher relative to the insertion space and an acting position which is lower relative to the insertion space and where the thermal coupling portion enters into the insertion space.

The pluggable module includes a module circuit board having mating pads at a mating edge of the module circuit board plugged into the inner receptacle connector and connector pads at a mounting location remote from the mating edge. The pluggable module includes a plug connector mounted to the mounting location. The plug connector includes plug contacts extending between a plug mating end and a plug mounting end. The plug mating end is plugged into the outer receptacle connector.
