The first cutting member includes a first grip and a first blade, the first blade includes a first lateral cutting section and a first bottom cutting section; the second cutting member includes a second grip and a second blade, the second blade includes a second lateral cutting section and a second bottom cutting section; when the first and second grips pivot toward each other, the first and second lateral cutting sections cut a to-be-cut object inserted therebeween, meanwhile, the first and second bottom cutting sections also cut the to-be-cut object, so as to form at least three cutting points on the to-be-cut object, and as a result, the pair of single-blade-double-edged steel wire rope shears can improve cutting efficiency.
Pliers
The invention relates to a stripping tool (1) comprising at least one stripping jaw. A cutting element (10, 11) is exchangeably assembled with the stripping jaw under use of a mounting groove (56, 57). Preferably, mounting and dismounting is performed along mounting axes (58, 59) having an orientation perpendicular to a pivot plane of the pliers jaws (3, 4). The inventive stripping tool (1) comprises an exchange position in which the mounting and dismounting of the cutting elements (10, 11) is possible, in particular through a cutaway (62, 63) of a side wall (64, 65) of the pliers jaws (3, 4). If the exchange position is left a movement of the cutting element (10, 11) is blocked by a securing element (66) formed by the side wall (64, 65) so that a securing of the position of the cutting element (10, 11) is provided. In the exchange position it is easy to disassemble the cutting element (10, 11) and to assemble a new cutting element wherein no additional measures (as the release of a screwed connection, a dismounting of the stripping unit and the like) are required for disassembly.
Cable stripping tool
The invention relates to a cable stripping tool (1). A cable stripping unit (5) is built with two cable stripping jaws (6, 7). The cable stripping jaws (6, 7) are pivoted towards each other in a pivot plane (9) during a cutting stroke. During a subsequent cable stripping stroke the cutting jaws (6, 7) are moved along a cable stripping axis (15). A mounting axis (58, 59) has an orientation vertical to the pivot plane (9). A cutting element (10, 11) is detachably mounted along the mounting axis (58, 59) with the cable stripping jaw (6, 7). Outside from an exchange position the cutting element (10, 11) is blocked against the removal along the mounting axis (58, 59). The exchange position is induced by the drive (16) of the cable stripping tool (1). In the exchange position the cutting element (10, 11) is freed with respect to a movement along the mounting axis (58, 59) so that demounting of the cutting element (10, 11) and mounting of a new cutting element (10, 11) is possible.
CUTTING AND STRIPPING TOOL FOR RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) RADIATING COAXIAL CABLE
One embodiment is directed to a tool to cut and strip a radiating coaxial cable. The tool comprises first and second jaws, a linkage that couples the first jaw to the second jaw, a cutting blade, and a stripping blade. The tool is configured to position at least a portion of the cutting blade to cut and sever the cable at a first point along the cable when the tool is rotated around the cable while the first jaw and the second jaw are closed around the cable. The tool is configured to position at least a portion of the stripping blade to cut the jacket of the cable, without severing the cable, at a second point along the cable when the tool is rotated around the cable while the first jaw and the second jaw are closed around the cable. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Stripping tools and methods for preparing coaxial cables
A stripping tool includes and body portion and a clamping arm. The stripping tool further includes a stripping blade having a blade edge. The stripping blade extends from the body portion, and the blade edge is offset from the clamping arm at a distance d such that the blade edge enters the insulator layer of the coaxial cable when the coaxial cable is positioned between the clamping arm and the body portion. The stripping tool further includes a retention element disposed at the body portion at a position after the stripping blade along a cable insertion direction. The retention element is positioned to contact the outer layer of an end portion of the coaxial cable when the coaxial cable is positioned between the clamping arm and the body portion and the stripping tool is in the closed position.
Termination for a cable for transporting high-voltage or very-high-voltage electricity, and method for preparing a cable end termination
Termination for a cable for transporting high-voltage or very-high-voltage electricity, comprising a composite end (8) of a cable (1) comprising a free end of a cable, the cable comprising an elongate central conducting element (2) and a plurality of layers arranged successively from the innermost to the outermost coaxially around this conducting element, this plurality of layers comprising an inner semi-conducting layer (3), an electrically insulating layer (4), an outer semi-conducting layer (5), such that part of the layers is stripped starting from a distal end of the free end of the cable, the outer semi-conducting layer (5) being stripped over an axial length greater than the length over which the electrically insulating layer (4) is stripped, such that one end of the outer semi-conducting layer (5) forms a chamfer (14), the cable termination comprising a stress cone (20) provided with an annular lip (22), such that this cone lip (22) covers the chamfer (14) over the entirety of its length.
Stripping device
A stripping device for rapid midpoint stripping of an outer cladding layer of a cable includes a handle, a cutter disposed on the handle, a pressing assembly, and a scraper assembly.
