Mounting guide for placement of a gang box
A mounting rail and gang box member installation system for placing a gang box on a wall structure in a desired horizontal and/or vertical location to accommodate for construction anomalies. The mounting rail and gang box member system includes an elongate mounting rail assembly and any one of an extendable box assembly, slidable bracket assembly or a rail channel structure that in combination with a gang box member and/or mud ring member provide for flexibility in locating and mounting wiring receptacles and wiring devices on a wall structure. Finally, the installation system includes wire or cable fastening configurations that are used in combination with cable ties or zip-ties to secure wires of cables without having to use staples.
Electrical junction box cover and related assemblies and methods for completing electrical installations
This invention relates to electrical junction box covers for temporary use during application of drywall and other finish work. Electrical junction boxes include any type of electrical outlet or switch box, including communication boxes for cable, Ethernet, phone, or any other related system. The covers of the invention prevent debris from entering the electrical junction boxes during the application of drywall and finish work. The covers protect electrical and data cabling and provide substantial efficiencies in construction of residential and commercial structures.
MOUNTING DEVICE WITH FASTENER RECEIVING STRUCTURE
A mounting device includes a panel portion, and a fastener receiving structure provided within a perimeter of the panel portion. The fastener receiving structure can include a flexure mechanism to enable at least a portion of the fastener receiving structure to flex with insertion of a fastener into the flexure mechanism that attaches the panel portion against an underlying surface.
Expanded two-gang electrical box
A wall-mounted enclosure having a standard forward-facing opening but also having an expanded enclosure behind the opening. The opening allows the use of conventional prior art components (such as cover plates). The expanded enclosure allows a more generous bend radius for the creation of a service loop in a fiber optic cable or similar component.
Electrical box with fastening devices
An electrical box which utilizes fastening devices to provide improved box fastening to wall assembly materials with common fasteners. The electrical box possesses one or a plurality of externally situated fastener housings each with characteristics that support fastener placement, guide fastener insertion, limit fastener travel and house the fastener, once fully driven, outside of the box body interior. The externally situated fastener housing's placement outside of the box body allows for fastener insertion from the box body interior while not diminishing volumetric capacity of the box body. Alternative embodiments include round enclosure and bottom mount versions.
ELECTRICAL BOX SUPPORT
Electrical box assemblies are provided that have a support that is adjustable to different sizes. The electrical box assemblies provided also include a cable support that moves from a shipping position to an installed position.
Electrical box mounting structure preventive of water ingress
An electrical unit mounting assembly, having a top, bottom, back and front, and including a partial enclosure, made of insulating material, defining a cavity having a mouth at its front and defining a through-hole leading to the cavity, at its back. A panel extending outwardly from the mouth, for at least 4 cm and having a front surface. Further, when the assembly is oriented in an upright manner so that its top is topmost, the through-hole is constructed so that liquid cannot be driven by gravity from inside the cavity, through the through-hole.
Split-type in-wall smart switch module
A split-type in-wall smart switch module comprises a switching signal generation unit, a mechanical switch, a switching signal receiving and processing unit, a wireless module unit, a switching unit and a load, wherein the switching signal generation unit is connected to a live wire in mains electricity, the mechanical switch and the switching signal receiving and processing unit, respectively; the switching signal receiving and processing unit is also connected to the wireless module unit and a neutral wire in mains electricity respectively; the other end of the wireless module unit is connected to the switching unit; the other end of the switching unit is connected to the load; and the other end of the load is connected to the neutral wire in mains electricity. The switch can realize the control of turning-on and turning-off by means of a switch panel.
FASTENING ASSEMBLY FOR ELECTRIC AND/OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES THAT CAN BE BUILT-IN
A fastening assembly for electric and/or electronic devices that can be built in includes a frame (2) and claws (3) adapted to secure the frame (2) to the wall or box where it is built-in, showing at least two claws (3) of which at least one is flexible and independent from the frame (2) and can be joined to the frame (2) by temporarily deforming the claw (3) generating when joined to the frame (2) at least three unaligned bearing points between the claw (3) and the frame (2). The frame (2) includes at least one hollow (21) and at least two supporting points (20), and the claw (3) two bearing points (30), can be introduced in the hollow (21) of the frame (2) and when the claw (3) is released, the the bearing points (30) or clipping flanges are coincident with the supporting points or mortises (20) of the frame (2).
