SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INSTALLING FLUSH MOUNTED ELECTRICAL DEVICES
20220006276 · 2022-01-06 ·

Systems and methods for mounting electrical devices such that they appear “flush” with a finished wall. The systems include specialized back boxes, mud rings, faceplates, and other tools that are installed and used during the mounting process. The mounting process includes a specific series of steps that take place during construction and wall finishing, including that mud or other finishing material is used to both “hide” the mounting system and lock it into place The systems and methods allow for full usage of existing electrical devices such as electric outlets, light switches, and USB connectors, with an improved visual appearance over existing electrical plates that sit on top of the wall.

MULTI-GANG ADJUSTABLE MUD RING ASSEMBLIES
20220006277 · 2022-01-06 ·

A rectangular or square mud ring assembly includes a base member, a raised member, a telescoping member and a plurality of drive members. The base member has a flange and a rectangular or square opening through the flange. The raised member extends from the base member and follows the rectangular or square opening in the flange to form a rectangular or square raised wall. The raised member has a plurality of mounting tabs extending from the raised wall toward the opening in the raised member. The telescoping member is positioned within the raised member opening and is movable relative to the raised member between a retracted position and an extended position. The telescoping member has a rectangular or square wall, an opening and a plurality of mounting tabs extending from the rectangular or square wall toward the opening in the telescoping member. The rectangular or square wall of the telescoping member includes a plurality of protective members. Each protective member is positioned in proximity to one of a plurality of mounting tab pairs. In this configuration, one of the plurality of drive members is operatively coupled to the mounting tabs of one of the mounting tab pairs, such that rotation of the drive members causes the telescoping member to move between the retracted position and the extended position.

FLIPTOP INTEGRATED LATCH

An integrated latching mechanism includes a slider button extending along a first direction, curved elastic arms that extend from the slider button in a second direction and then curve back in an direction opposite thereto, a locking part contiguous with the slider button and extending away from the slider button and the elastic arms in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction. In response to ends of the elastic arms being held at fixed positions and an external force urging the slider button in a direction opposite to the third direction, the locking part moves in the same direction, and the urging of the slider button distorts the elastic arms such that upon removal of the external force, the elastic arms move the slider button and the locking part in the third direction. The elastic arms, slider button, and locking part form a single piece of elastic material.

Load center assembly

A load center assembly is provided. The load center assembly comprises a frame, an electrical panel assembly, and a plurality of electrical wire harnesses. The frame includes a first side and a second side. The first side and the second side are substantially parallel and connected by a plurality of cross members. The electrical panel assembly is connected to the first side and the second side. The electrical panel assembly includes a plurality of breakers. The plurality of electrical wires harnesses is connected to the frame. Each of the plurality of electrical wire harnesses includes a plurality of wires. A first end of each wire of the plurality of wires is routed into the electrical panel assembly and is terminated in a corresponding breaker. The load center assembly is configured to be disposed in a wall frame.

Multi-gang adjustable mud ring assemblies

A mud ring assembly includes base member, raised member, telescoping member and plurality of drive members. The base member has a flange and an opening through the flange. The raised member extends from the base member and follows the opening in the flange to form a raised wall. The raised member has a plurality of mounting tabs extending from the raised wall toward the opening in the raised member. The telescoping member is positioned within the raised member opening and is movable relative to the raised member between a retracted position and an extended position. The telescoping member has a wall, an opening and a plurality of mounting tabs extending from the wall toward the opening in the telescoping member. Rotation of the drive members causes the telescoping member to move between the retracted position and the extended position.

Electrical box cable management and support bracket assembly, system and method

An electrical box assembly is provided. The electrical box assembly includes an electrical box and a support bracket positioned proximate the back wall of the electrical box and coupled to the electrical box. The support bracket includes a plate member and a cable management member extending laterally from the plate member and forming at least one pass-through opening sized to receive an electrical cable. The plate member includes a bending line that divides the plate member into a first portion and a second portion. The plate member has first and second configurations. The plate member is generally planar in the first configuration. When the plate member is in the second configuration, the first portion of the plate member bends along the bending line and extends laterally from the second portion to engage a second wall opposing the first wall and opposing the back wall of the electrical box.

DISPLAY FIXING STRUCTURE

A display fixing structure includes a display and a plurality of fixing pieces. The display includes a main body and a protruding portion. The main body includes an outer surface and a plurality of fixing portions. The fixing portions are located on the outer surface. The protruding portion is disposed on the outer surface and separated from the fixing portions. The protruding portion is configured to abut against a wall. The fixing pieces are respectively configured to connect with the corresponding fixing portion and press against the wall.

Temperature Control Device Mounted to a Sealed Electrical Wall Box

A control system may include a control device, an electrical wall box having a hole for passing a wire or cable into the wall box, and a gland configured to be inserted into the hole of the wall box. The control device may include a temperature sensor. The wall box may be configured to be mounted to a wall. The control device may be configured to be mounted to the wall box such that the temperature sensor is located within the wall box. A wire or cable may be passed from a wall cavity of the wall, through the gland, into an interior of the wall box, and attached to the temperature control device. The gland and the wall box may be configured to prevent air within the wall cavity from entering the wall box when the wire or cable is passed into the wall box.
