For each actuator, an electric motor drives a reduction gear train to position a control shaft, the reduction gear train having a worm drive that motivates a spur gear reduction. The housing of the electric actuator features a motor chamber to accommodate the electric motor and is sealed by a cap having an electric connector.

A method to manufacture electric power steering systems is proposed. First, an electric motor having a drive shaft, a coupling device, and a worm gear having a worm shaft are provided. Then, an adjusting sleeve is provided, and an individual axial position of each adjusting sleeve in its associated opening is determined in order to achieve a specific axial preloading force on the worm shaft. The adjusting sleeve is press-fitted into the axial opening in the determined axial position, and a spring element is installed in the adjusting sleeve so that the spring element is supported on one end axially on the drive shaft and on its other end it is supported axially on the adjusting sleeve, and said spring element acts upon the worm shaft with the preloading force in the axial direction via the adjusting sleeve.

The outer circumference rib is located on the outer circumferential side from the opening end surface of the circuit housing recess portion and projects from the outer circumferential edge of the cover toward the front surface side of the cover and the rear surface side of the cover. The inside rib is located inside from the opening end surface and projects at least either on the front surface side of the cover or on the rear surface side of the cover.

The head-up display may include a casing unit, a hinge unit rotatably mounted on the casing unit, a holder unit mounted on the hinge unit, wherein a combiner is positioned on the holder unit, an actuation unit coupled to the hinge unit and configured to rotate the hinge unit, a detection unit configured to detect an initial location of the hinge unit, and a controller configured to receive a detection signal of the detection unit and drive the actuation unit. Accordingly, precise control of the combiner may be possible although only the initial location of the hinge unit is detected.
