Extracting the resistor-capacitor time constant of an electronic circuit line
A resistor-capacitor (RC) sensor circuit of an electronic device is driven to a drive voltage using a representative copy of a current that drives an electronic circuit line of the electronic device. The RC sensor circuit is to sample voltages that are indicative of an RC time constant of the electronic circuit line. A first sample voltage is determined by sampling a first representative voltage generated at the RC sensor circuit by driving the RC sensor circuit with the representative copy of the current over a first time period. A second sample voltage is determined by sampling a second representative voltage generated at the RC sensor circuit by driving the RC sensor circuit with the representative copy of the current over a second time period. A ratio of the first sample voltage and the second sample voltage is indicative of the RC time constant of the electronic circuit line.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NONLINEAR SIGNAL PROCESSING
The present disclosure relates to a concept of nonlinear signal processing which may be used for predistortion for RF power amplifiers. The concept includes generating time variant filter coefficients for a linear filter circuit based on a nonlinear mapping of an input signal, and filtering the input signal with the linear filter circuit using the time variant filter coefficients in order to generate a filtered output signal. Thus, it is proposed to implement a non-linear filter by a time-varying linear filter where the time-varying coefficients are derived from the input signal.

An amplifier circuit with in-band gain degradation compensation is shown. The amplifier circuit has an input-stage amplifier, at least one intermediate-stage amplifier, and an output-stage amplifier cascaded between an input port and an output port of the amplifier circuit. A compensation capacitor is coupled between the output port of the amplifier circuit and an output port of the input-stage amplifier. A high-order damping circuit is coupled to an output port of the intermediate-stage amplifier.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A RESONATOR
A method and apparatus for modifying or controlling a resonator connected to a signal loop having an input, an output, and a closed loop frequency response. The signal loop has a primary resonator having a primary frequency response. There is at least one adjustable resonator having an adjustable frequency and a secondary Q-factor. An adjustable scaling block applies a gain factor. A controller is connected to the at least one adjustable resonator and the adjustable scaling block. The controller has instructions to adjust the closed loop frequency response toward a desired closed loop frequency response by controlling the adjustable frequency of the at least one adjustable resonator and the gain factor of the adjustable scaling block.
TIME CONSTANT CALIBRATION CIRCUIT AND METHOD
A time constant calibration circuit and method. The circuit comprises a resistor, a capacitor, an amplifier, a first switch and a second switch. The resistance of the resistor and/or the capacitance of the capacitor is variable. A first terminal of the resistor, a first terminal of the capacitor and a first input of the amplifier are coupled to a common node, which is coupleable to a reference current source. A second input of the amplifier is coupleable to a reference voltage. An output of the amplifier is coupled to a second terminal of the resistor and a second terminal of the capacitor. The circuit can perform a calibration process comprising one or more calibration cycles in which the switches route a reference current through the resistor in a first phase and through the capacitor in a second phase. The resistance and/or the capacitance is adjusted between calibration cycles.
CALIBRATION DEVICE
A calibration device includes a signal generator and a processor. The signal generator is configured to provide an input signal to a filter circuit, wherein the filter circuit has a real time constant and is configured to receive the input signal to output an output signal. The processor is configured to calculate a real gain according to the output signal and the input signal, compare the real gain with a target gain to obtain a comparison result and determine whether to adjust the real time constant of the filter circuit according to the comparison result. The present disclosure also provides a calibration method.
