Systems and methods for accessible salon chairs in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, an accessible salon chair is provided and comprises: a backrest; a rotatable base around a vertical axis; a set of rotatable armrests capable of being folded; a foldable seat that is connected to the backrest via at least one rotatable hinge, is capable of being folded and locked to accommodate the wheelchair; a platform comprising a flat surface and a base, is located below the foldable seat and capable of receiving and holding the wheelchair; a ramp connected to the platform and able to receive the wheelchair; and a pumping device connected to a bottom of the base of the platform capable of adjusting the height of the salon chair.

An armrest assembly includes: a fixation bracket part which is fixed to both of left and right ends of a seat plate part and has an inner space having an open upper side; a lifting part provided at the upper part of the fixation bracket part to be movable in an upward/downward direction; a tilting arm pad part provided at the upper end of the lifting part to be tiltable and slidable in a forward/backward direction; and a safety cover part which inter-operates when the tilting arm pad part is tilted and does not inter-operate when the tilting arm pad is slid, and covers a part between the lifting part and the tilting arm pad part. The tilting arm pad part has a sliding guide slot formed therein to enable a sliding movement thereof in the forward/backward direction with respect to the safety cover part.

A chair assembly includes a seat support structure, a back support structure, a back tensioning assembly adjustable between low and high tension positions, an actuator assembly adapted to adjust the back tensioning assembly between the low and high tension positions, a control input assembly actuable by rotating the portion of the control input assembly, and a control link assembly operably coupling the control input assembly with the actuator assembly to adjust the back tensioning assembly between the low and high tension positions upon rotation of the portion of the control assembly by a seated user, wherein a number of rotations of the portion of the control input assembly is not limited by the control link.

Armrest structure for a chair

The armrest structure includes a connecting seat having a sleeve. A height adjustment rod is disposed in the sleeve and has two symmetric boards. Each of the boards is formed with recesses. A receiving room is formed between the two boards. An elevation rod is disposed in the sleeve. An end of the elevation rod has a projection received in the receiving room. Another end of the elevation rod has a connecting seat with a cylinder and a spring. An armrest set has a tube and an armrest connected atop the tube. The tube is received in the sleeve and sheathes the height adjustment rod and elevation rod. A top of the tube is formed with a channel for receiving a trigger. A fixing bar passes through the projection and is embedded into one of the recesses.
