A chair seat sliding and locking mechanism includes a positioning tube and a sliding seat. The positioning tube is mounted to a rod of a chair base. The positioning tube is rotatable relative to the rod but is not longitudinally slidable. The sliding seat includes a coupling portion securely coupled with a chair seat. The coupling portion includes a receiving portion having a receiving hole with a catching portion. The positioning tube is received in the receiving hole. When the positioning tube is rotated relative to the rod to a first position in which a positioning portion of the positioning tube disengages from the catching portion, the sliding seat is movable along the positioning tube. When the positioning tube is rotated relative to the rod to a second position in which the positioning portion engages with the catching portion, the sliding seat is fixed relative to the positioning tube.

A chair includes: a leg 1; a seat 2; and a front-back support mechanism 4. The front-back support mechanism 4 is provided at a seat receiving part 50 directly supported by the leg 1, and the front-back support mechanism includes: a wavy plate 56 provided to horizontally extend from vertical walls 51 of the seat receiving part 50 and having mound-shaped surfaces 57, 58 each convexly curved upward; and followers 53, 54 provided at front-back support bodies 52 as supported parts and configured to move relative to the mound-shaped surfaces 57, 58 while contacting the mound-shaped surfaces 57, 58. The wavy plate 56 is associated with the followers 53, 54 such that a movement end inclines downward when the seat 2 moves from a neutral position in accordance with a relative movement between the mound-shaped surfaces 57, 58 and the followers 53, 54.

Systems and methods for arranging seats in a seating area

An oscillation system (1) for chairs includes a backrest support (3) oscillating about a rotation axis (4), a first support element (6) of the seat coupled to the frame (2) to assume, in the at rest position of the backrest support (3), a plurality of relative vertical positions with respect to the frame (2) depending on, and by effect of, a weight force applied to the first support element (6). A first elastic element (21) opposes an elastic reaction to the backrest support oscillation with respect to an at rest position of the backrest support (3). A lever (31) connects to the first support element (6) to be rotated by the first support element (6) during variation of the relative position, and connects to the first anchoring end (22) to displace the first anchoring end (22). A fulcrum axis (60) does not coincide with the rotation axis (4).

Chair back tilt mechanism

A system and computer implemented method for controlling an actuator in a reclining seat. A plurality of actuators are provided in a reclining seat, each actuator moving at least one portion of the reclining seat. Voltage spike pulses are generated as each actuator moves the at least one portion of the reclining seat. Voltage spike pulses of each actuator motor are counted as each actuator moves, and a configuration of the reclining seat is stored in a memory associated with the reclining seat.
