Synchronized mechanism for an office chair
A mechanism is provided for an office chair. In order to accomplish an advantageous motion characteristic of the mechanism and thus of the office chair, a synchronized mechanism provides a correlated seat/backrest movement of an office chair. The backrest support is connected to the seat support not directly and immediately, but via a coupling element. The force applied to the seat support upon swiveling the backrest support is applied to the seat support solely via the coupling element. Two guide element pairs are provided to guide the seat support relative to the base support.
Furniture member with adjustable seat depth
A furniture member may include a seat base frame, a seat bottom, and a seatback. The seat bottom may be attached to the seat base frame. The seatback may be attached to the seat base frame and may include a seatback frame and a seat-depth-adjustment mechanism. The seat-depth-adjustment mechanism may include a backrest support member and a seat-depth-adjustment actuator. The seat-depth-adjustment actuator may be mounted to the seatback frame and may be drivingly coupled to the backrest support member to move the backrest support member relative to the seatback frame and the seat bottom between a retracted position and an extended position.
POWER RECLINING FURNITURE AND RECLINING MECHANISM THEREOF
A recliner, comprising: (a) a stationary base frame; (b) a cushion frame slidably engaged to the base frame; and (c) a backrest frame pivotally engaged to the cushion frame via a pair of opposing recliner mechanisms mounted to the base frame, wherein, as the cushion frame extends in an extension direction, the cushion frame engages the pair of opposing recliner mechanisms so that the backrest frame pivots in a reclining direction simultaneously with the extension of the cushion frame.
Furniture member with compliant legrest mechanism
A legrest mechanism including a seat base rail, a mechanism rail, a drive assembly, a pivot plate link, a pivot plate, a main drive link, and a parallelogram legrest link assembly. The drive assembly moves the mechanism rail relative to the seat base rail, which drives movement of the parallelogram legrest link assembly between a retracted position and an extended position. The parallelogram legrest link assembly includes first and second legrest links, footrest and legrest drive arms, and a legrest bracket. The main drive link has a pin that is slidingly received in a slot in one of the first legrest link, second legrest link, or main drive link such that movement of the parallelogram legrest link assembly is decoupled from movement of the main drive link when the legrest and/or parallelogram legrest link assembly encounters an obstruction while moving from the extended position to the retracted position.
Travel nursery apparatus
A travel nursery apparatus having a scissoring frame defining four faces of a parallelepiped. A flexible receptacle is engaged to the scissoring frame where the flexible receptacle defines five faces of a parallelepiped. An infant bassinet may be engaged to the scissoring frame and depend into the flexible receptacle, with a floor of the infant bassinet being spaced from a floor of the flexible receptacle.
Ergonomic Motion Chair
A chair that provides movement of a seat about an axis of rotation above the seat plane with the seat having a sensor in communication with a computer system that tracks movement. The seat may be simultaneously pivotable about a second axis of rotation defining a range of motion for the seat about the two axes. An actuation system in communication with the computer system can move the seat to desired positions and/or prevent the seat from being positioned at certain locations within the range of motion. The computer system may also include an application that can promote user movement within the seat and allow movement of the seat to be used for gaming, health monitoring and treatment, activity tracking, and the like. The chair may include a mechanism that has one or more glides operably received in curved structures to provide the movement about the axes.
All-linkage recline mechanism for high leg seating units
A seating unit and a mechanism for a seating unit are provided. Each seating unit has a pair of mechanisms operable to move the seating unit between a closed position and a reclined position. Each mechanism includes an extended seat plate that extends from, and connects to, the chair back to the front of a seat frame. Each mechanism also has a rear pivot link, the upper end of which is pivotally connected to the seat plate. This pivotal connection is above the seat frame, allowing the mechanism to move the seating unit to the reclined position with minimal front-to-back movement. The mechanism moves the seating unit to a zero gravity reclined position, without the use of roller tracks.
CHAIR
A chair includes: a leg 1; a seat 2; and a front-back support mechanism 4. The front-back support mechanism 4 is provided at a seat receiving part 50 directly supported by the leg 1, and the front-back support mechanism includes: a wavy plate 56 provided to horizontally extend from vertical walls 51 of the seat receiving part 50 and having mound-shaped surfaces 57, 58 each convexly curved upward; and followers 53, 54 provided at front-back support bodies 52 as supported parts and configured to move relative to the mound-shaped surfaces 57, 58 while contacting the mound-shaped surfaces 57, 58. The wavy plate 56 is associated with the followers 53, 54 such that a movement end inclines downward when the seat 2 moves from a neutral position in accordance with a relative movement between the mound-shaped surfaces 57, 58 and the followers 53, 54.
Chair and chair control assemblies, systems, and methods
Chairs, seating systems, chair sub-assemblies and sub-systems, and associated methods of assembly and use. Aspects relate to chairs and methods of assembling chairs including chair controls of a relatively compact and effective design with desirable synchronous raising and tilting motions. Aspects also relate to tilt lock assemblies for achieving secure and effective tilt securement. Additional aspects relate to forward and rearward adjustment, or extension and retraction, of a seating assembly of the chair.
Chair with pivot function
Some embodiments relate to a chair including a base, a hub, and a seat frame. The hub is supported by the base and includes first and second side mounts and first and second covers. The first side mount is positioned on a first side of the chair and includes a back portion and a bottom portion. The first cover is coupled to the first side mount to define a first channel with the first side mount. The seat frame includes a first lateral member having a lower portion and an upper portion that is pivotally coupled to the back portion of the first side mount and is configured to angulate relative to the lower portion. The lower portion of the first lateral member is slidably received in the first channel such that two sides and a bottom of the lower portion received within the first channel are substantially hidden.
