FURNITURE MEMBER WITH ADJUSTABLE SEAT DEPTH
A furniture member may include a seat base frame, a seat bottom, and a seatback. The seat bottom may be attached to the seat base frame. The seatback may be attached to the seat base frame and may include a seatback frame and a seat-depth-adjustment mechanism. The seat-depth-adjustment mechanism may include a backrest support member and a seat-depth- adjustment actuator. The seat-depth-adjustment actuator may be mounted to the seatback frame and may be drivingly coupled to the backrest support member to move the backrest support member relative to the seatback frame and the seat bottom between a retracted position and an extended position.
Chair back tilt mechanism
A chair can include a chair back, or backrest, that is coupled to a base of a chair above a seat of the chair. A tilt mechanism can attach the backrest to the base at spaced apart locations. In some embodiments, the tilt mechanism can be configured so that the backrest rotates about multiple pivots as it reclines from an upright position to a reclined position to drive forward motion of the seat during recline of the backrest.
Seat system with adaptively adjustable seating surfaces
A seat system includes a base support structure having at least one flat seat support surface, a seat pan support structure movably coupled to the base support structure and having at least one contoured seat support surface, and a back rest support structure movably coupled to the base support structure. The back rest support structure includes a primary frame having at least one flat back support surface, and an articulating frame movably coupled to the primary frame and having at least one contoured back support surface. The seat system also includes a back rest cushion having an occupant-facing back rest surface, and an articulating arrangement of back rest cushion support members movably coupled together to define a bottom surface of the back rest cushion opposing the occupant-facing back rest surface.
Modular assembly for high leg row seating
A modular assembly for a row of seating units is provided. Each seating unit has a pair of mechanisms operable to move between a closed position and a reclined position. Each mechanism includes first and second roller track that are oriented at opposite angles to one another. A seat mounting plate is moveably coupled to, and constrained by, a linkage coupling the seat mounting plate to the first and second roller tracks so that the seat mounting plate is moveable from a generally horizontal orientation in the closed position, to an inclined orientation in the reclined position, with the incline from back end of the seating unit to the front end of the seating unit.
Chair, in particular office chair
The invention relates to a chair, in particular a conference or visitor chair, which allows a coupled movement of a seat (3) and a backrest. The seat in this case is mounted in sliding bearings (4) comprising oblique guide surfaces (6) and is displaced and raised in the sliding bearings through a mounting end (5) of the backrest. According to the invention, two separate backrest bars (11) are provided, which are connected to the mounting ends (5), wherein the backrest bars can be moved independently of each other. In this way, different seat positions can be realized. Besides an upright standard position, an inclined high position, and an asymmetrical position, in which a one-sided load of a backrest bar (11) can be realized with a corresponding displacement and rotation of the seat (3).
Chair With A Footrest Device
A chair includes a base having two sideboards. Each sideboard includes first and second coupling portions respectively at rear and front portions thereof. A seat is mounted on the base. A third coupling portion and a fourth coupling portion are provided on each lateral side of the seat. Each fourth coupling portion is coupled to one of the second coupling portions of the base. The seat is movable in a longitudinal direction and has a front end supported by the second and fourth coupling portions. A positioning device is coupled with the third coupling portion of the seat and the base, providing support for the rear end of the seat. The positioning device positions the seat relative to the base. A backrest is mounted to a rear of the base and is pivotably connected to the rear end of the seat and the sideboards.
CHAIR AND CHAIR CONTROL ASSEMBLIES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Chairs, seating systems, chair sub-assemblies and sub-systems, and associated methods of assembly and use. Aspects relate to chairs and methods of assembling chairs including chair controls of a relatively compact and effective design with desirable synchronous raising and tilting motions. Aspects also relate to tilt lock assemblies for achieving secure and effective tilt securement. Additional aspects relate to forward and rearward adjustment, or extension and retraction, of a seating assembly of the chair.
Chassis of swivel chair
A gravity self-adapted chassis of chair has the first plug pin, second plug pin, third plug pin, forth plug pin, tilting plate, first connecting rod, and the second connecting rod of the chassis form into a four-point connecting rod mechanism so as to form the conduction of the force, the backrest is fixedly connected with the tilting plate to offer the driving force of the four-point connecting rod mechanism, the gravity applied onto the seat by the users forms into the reset force applied onto the four-point connecting rod mechanism through the third plug pin hinged with the bracket, and the driving force and the reset force of the four-point connecting rod mechanism form into the confrontation relationship.
Mechanism for an office chair
A mechanism for an office chair has a base support which is placeable on a chair column. A seat support is arranged on the base support and is movable relative to the base support. A backrest support is coupled with the seat support. Pivoting the backrest causes the seat support to move relative to the base support. An alternative solution for adjusting the tilting resistance of the seat support of an office chair is provided where the tilting resistance of the seat support is influenced by the pivoting resistance of the backrest support.
LOAD SUPPORT STRUCTURE
A body support structure includes a frame and a membrane attached to the frame. The membrane includes elastomeric filaments. The membrane includes different regions with different stiffness. The membrane may form a part of a seat or a backrest.
