REMOVING RF INTERFERENCE THROUGH SCAN RATE LOCKING
This relates to methods and apparatus for mitigating effects of the presence of RF communication signals. In some examples, non-linearity and rectification of the RF communication signals can become rectified in sensor circuitry such that spectral components of a frame or sub-frame timing of the RF communication signals can be aliased into the sensor circuitry output within a bandwidth of interest. In some examples, a notch filter can be employed to remove the aliased RF communication signals from the sensor output. In some examples, a sampling rate used for sampling the user's physiological signals can be generated such that the sampling of the sensor is synchronous with the RF communication signals. In some examples, the sampling rate for the sensor can be generated as an integer multiple or integer submultiple of the frame or sub-frame timing of the RF communication signals.
Adaptive antenna tuning based on measured antenna impedance
A system includes an antenna, an impedance measurement circuit, an impedance tuning circuit, and a controller. The impedance measurement circuit can include a test current source that conveys a test current through the antenna, and a voltage sensor that measure a voltage across the antenna while the test current is conveyed through the antenna. The impedance tuning circuit can be coupled to the antenna leads and can include one or more reactive elements that can be selectively coupled to the antenna, or otherwise adjusted, to effect adjustment of the impedance connected to the antenna. The controller can: (i) use the impedance measurement circuit to obtain a measurement indicative of an impedance of the antenna; (ii) determine an adjustment to the impedance tuning circuit based on the obtained measurement; and (iii) cause the impedance tuning circuit to make the determined adjustment.
FLEXIBLE KICKSTAND AND MOUNTING APPARATUS FOR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A case assembly for an electronic device includes a case including a back wall and a peripheral wall projecting from a periphery of the back wall to define a case interior. The back wall includes an exterior surface and a plurality of slots formed through the back wall. A flexible member is positioned in the plurality of slots to form a plurality of expandable portions on the exterior surface of the back wall.
COORDINATION OF COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS USING A SHARED FRONT-END MODULE
A circuit component may determine whether first signal indicative of at least one of the plurality of communication interface circuits accessing the FEM during a respective communication slot associated with the FEM has been received, determine a first Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) value for the respective communication slot used by the FEM based on data associated with the respective communication slot, and store the first RSSI value in response to the first signal not being received. The circuit component may then determine a first gain for a subsequent slot based on the first RSSI value and discard the first RSSI value in response to the first signal being received.
DIGITAL COMMAND PROMPTING DEVICE
The Digital Command Prompting Device is an aid is to help all people, especially those who have special needs particularly individuals who have diminished or diminishing function of their brain. The device is predominately mobile but can also be stationary and can be programmed by receiving and selecting pre-set commands to operate and assist a User with their daily living standards or needs. The device also has other various features including an illuminated display panel, a GPS tracking capability, an alarm, an illumination element, solar panel and battery backup components, time and date clocks, is provided water resistance covers and/or material, among other things. The device may be used within the home environment, outdoor environment or a restricted environment, e.g. aged care facility, hospital, pre-school or school.
Systems, devices, and methods effected in response to establishing and/or terminating a physical communications link
Systems, devices, and methods that are effected in or by an electronic device in response to establishing and/or terminating a physical communications link are described. An electronic device may be entered into deep sleep and may include a power control circuit that activates the device out of deep sleep in response to establishing a physical communications link with a source of electric power, such as another electronic device. Either in combination with or separate from this, an electronic device may establish wireless communications with another electronic device in response to establishing and terminating a physical communications link with the other electronic device. The physical communications link may be used to transfer device identity data from one device to the other and thereby bypass the cumbersome “discovery” process common to conventional wireless communication techniques. Portable electronic devices and personal computing devices that are operative to perform the above are described.
CO-CHANNEL WIRELESS DETECTION
An electronic device includes an antenna configured to receive a wireless signal. The electronic device also includes a first correlator configured to correlate the wireless signal to a communication of a first wireless protocol type and a second correlator configured to correlate the wireless signal to a communication of a second wireless protocol type.
METHOD, DEVICE AND KIT FOR SECURING CELL PHONE IN A POCKET DURING ACTIVITY
A cell phone holding device includes a belt that is adjustable in length and has two opposing ends connectable together, the belt sized for surrounding a user's thigh. A stretchable loop is attached to the belt, the loop having an opening sized to receive a cell phone-containing pocket, the pocket in clothing worn by the user, the stretchable loop configured to hold the pocket against the belt but not support the weight of the cell phone. The loop including means to expand the opening to receive the cell-phone containing pocket. The loop can also include a material to grab the pocket to keep it in the loop if the phone should be removed. The device can also be in kit form using a stopper to keep the phone in the pocket after the pocket is received by the stretchable loop. A method of using the device is also disclosed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING AND USING A WEARABLE DEVICE PROFILE
A system and method for generating and using a wearable device profile are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: a retention mechanism including an attachment mechanism configured to attach the retention mechanism to a body part of a user; a memory device for storage of information indicative of the location of the body part in a wearable device profile; and a data interface for communicating the wearable device profile to another electronic device.
Taking Actions On Notifications Using An Incomplete Data Set From A Message
An apparatus, a system, and a method in which a message notification application such as an e-mail notification application resident in a first memory on a wearable electronic device is configured to provide messaging actions; where the message notification application has a user interface to present content of a message originating from an message application resident on a mobile computing device; where the message notification application is configured to analyze a notification of the message to obtain an incomplete data set; and where the message notification application is configured to work with a server configured to integrate with one or more application programming interfaces of one or more messaging service providers, where the server has a server module configured to receive the incomplete data set and use all or a portion of the incomplete data set as search query terms to retrieve an instance of the message in its full-message format.
