Quarter wavelength unit delay and complex weighting coefficient continuous-time filters
Various signal processing techniques may benefit from appropriate handling. For example, certain signal processors may benefit from quarter wavelength unit delay and complex weight coefficient continuous-time filters. A method can include splitting an input signal into a plurality of signal paths. The method can also include complex weighting, for each signal path, a respective signal. The method can further include summing outputs of the signal paths. The method can additionally include providing an output comprising the sum of the signal paths. The complex weighting can be configured to independently control gain, phase and delay of the output signal over broadband.
ADAPTIVE FILTER WITH MANAGEABLE RESOURCE SHARING
The present application relates to an adaptive filter using manageable resource sharing and a method of operating the adaptive filter. The adaptive filter comprises a cluster controller configured for allocating each of several computational blocks to one of several clusters and a routing controller for configuring the routing of tapped delay signals by a routing logic to the respective cluster in accordance with an allocation of the tapped delay signals to the clusters. Each of computational blocks is configured for adjusting one filter coefficient, c.sub.i(n), in one cycle of an iterative procedure according to an adaptive convergence algorithm. The number of computational blocks is less than an order of the adaptive filter.
TRANSMISSION DEVICE, METHOD THEREOF, AND PROGRAM
A transmission device, method, and program for signal transmission with reduced intersymbol interference are disclosed. In one example, a mapping unit maps binary data to symbols and a generating unit generates a signal from the mapped symbols. A transmission band-limiting filter performs band limitation of the signal at a corner frequency higher than half a frequency of a symbol rate. A frequency modulating unit performs frequency modulation on a carrier wave on the basis of the band limitation and the signal.
FREQUENCY OFFSET ESTIMATION AND COMPENSATION METHOD
A method of estimating an integer frequency offset and compensating for the integer frequency offset by an estimated error is provided. A frequency offset estimation method may include receiving a reception signal including PLC data and a physical layer link channel (PLC) preamble, detecting first position information on a position of a subcarrier of the PLC preamble in a frequency axis from the reception signal through a cross-correlation between the PLC preamble and the reception signal, detecting second position information on the position of the subcarrier of the PLC preamble defined in a transmission end by restoring the PLC data, and calculating a frequency offset by comparing the first position information with the second position information.
Calibration for echo cancellation in a full duplex communication system
A method that calibrates a device for echo cancellation and a device with calibration for echo cancellation are provided. Devices may be calibrated such that the echo residual error is less than a threshold determined by the calibration accuracy. Non-ideal factors such as mismatch may be eliminated during calibration.

ECHO CANCELLER DEVICE AND ECHO CANCEL METHOD
An echo canceller device includes a band adjuster including a filter for performing band adjustment by applying a gain to a signal in a specific frequency band of an input signal, an adaptive filter for inputting a speech reception signal, updating a filter coefficient, and generating a pseudo echo signal using the updated filter coefficient, a band corrector including a filter for correcting a frequency characteristic of a signal obtained by subtracting the pseudo echo signal from an input signal, to a frequency characteristic of the input signal prior to the band adjustment, and a residual echo suppressor for suppressing an echo component that remains in a signal, by a suppression amount, and the residual echo suppressor sets the suppression amount for a signal in a specific frequency band that has been subjected to the band adjustment.
ECHO CANCELLER DEVICE
An echo canceller device is provided with a first filter unit that generates a first output signal y1(k) by filtering a first input signal x1(k) with a filter coefficient h(k), an adaptation unit that modifies the filter coefficient h(k) on the basis of an adaptation algorithm so that a first error signal e1(k) becomes small, a first delaying unit that delays a first objective signal d1(k) by a certain time period and outputs the signal as a second objective signal d2(k), a second delaying unit that delays the first input signal x1(k) by the certain time period and outputs the signal as a second input signal x2(k), and a second filter unit that generates a second output signal y2(k) by filtering the second input signal x2(k) by the filter coefficient h(k) modified by the adaptation unit.
Device to-device communication
An apparatus is provided for a device-to-device, D2D, communication enabled user equipment, UE, comprising a processing section to determine, based on a signal received from another UE, a channel condition between the UE and the another UE; the UE to report the determined channel condition to an evolved Node B, eNB. The processing section is to initiate D2D communication based on a communication from the eNB, received in response to the report. Also, an apparatus is provided for a network element, comprising An input to receive a describing a channel condition between a first UE and a second UE; a processor to determine, based on the channel condition, whether or not D2D communication between the first UE and the second UE is to be enabled; and an output to output a result of the determination when the processor determines D2D communication is to be enabled. Related methods are also provided.
