20220416967 · 2022-12-29 ·

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a repeater receives, from a network entity, a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration or an indicator of the PRS configuration, the PRS configuration specifying one or more PRS resources of one or more PRS resource sets, and transmits, to one or more user equipments (UEs), a PRS waveform representing the one or more PRS resources of the one or more PRS resource sets in accordance with the PRS configuration.

Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving signals in wireless vehicle communication system

A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving signals in a wireless vehicle communication system. The method, performed by a UE, includes obtaining vehicle communication configuration information, determining, for vehicle communication, at least one of whether data is to be relayed, allocated resources, or a waveform, based on the obtained vehicle communication configuration information, and transmitting or receiving signals to or from at least one other UE based on the determination result.

Wireless internet access system and method of using the same

System and method incorporating devices wirelessly connected to remote gateway locations or other devices. Remote gateway locations can be located on towers, buildings, silos, trees, utility poles, light poles or any other support structure capable of supporting the equipment used. A wired or wireless backhaul connects each remote gateway to a centralized headend gateway location via Ethernet, fiber, laser, or licensed or unlicensed microwave signals. Devices wirelessly connected to a remote gateway location device then act like a new remote gateway, redistributing signals to the surrounding area for additional CPEs to connect to that CPE. This continues over and over in a self-propagating manner, creating one or more network legs off the original remote gateway device.

Method and apparatus for a relay user equipment (UE) to support direct to indirect communication path switching in a wireless communication system
11533673 · 2022-12-20 · ·

A method and device are disclosed from the perspective of a relay UE. In one embodiment, the relay UE establishes a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection with a network node. The relay UE also transmits a Layer 2. Identity (L2ID) of the relay UE to the network node. Furthermore, the relay UE receives a local UE Identity (ID) for a remote UE and a L2ID of the remote UE from the network node. In addition, the relay UE establishes a PC5 connection with the remote UE. The relay UE further receives a first RRC Reconfiguration Complete message from the remote UE. The relay UE also transmits the first RRC Reconfiguration Complete message to the network node, wherein the first RRC Reconfiguration Complete message is included in an adaptation layer Protocol Data Unit (PDU) for transmission and the local UE ID for the remote UE is included in a header of the adaptation layer PDU.

Wireless device cradles

A user device cradle can include a receiver configured to removably retain a wireless user device. One or more Radio Frequency (RF) signal couplers and one or more power couplers can be disposed in the receiver of the cradle. The one or more RF signal couplers can be configured to couple one or more RF communication signals to the wireless user device, while the one or more power couplers can be configured to couple power to the wireless user device. The coupling of power to the user device can be reduced or minimized when a downlink signal is received by a user device in the user device cradle, or when the user device cradle is in a weak signal area.

TERMINAL AND RADIO COMMUNICATION METHOD

A terminal according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: a receiving section that receives at least part of DL transmission transmitted from a network, via a relay apparatus; and a control section that controls reception of the DL transmission, based on at least one of information related to the relay apparatus transmitted from the network and reception qualities of a plurality of periods. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, it is possible to appropriately control a terminal and a network even in a case of using a relay apparatus.

DYNAMIC NETWORK RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM (WCS)

Dynamic network resource management in a wireless communications system (WCS) is disclosed. The WCS includes multiple radio access network (RAN) remote units each configured to communicate a radio frequency (RF) signal(s) in a respective one of multiple coverage cells. The multiple coverage cells can be associated with a number of cell groups, with each of the cell groups including one or more of the multiple coverage cells. Given that all of the cell groups are operating based on a set of network functions configured for the WCS, the WCS further employs a network device to dynamically determine a set of sharable network functions and share the set of sharable network functions among the cell groups. By dynamically sharing the sharable network functions across the cell groups, it is possible to maximize throughput in each of the cell groups based on the set of sharable network functions.
