COMMUNICATION METHOD, APPARATUS, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
The present disclosure provides a communication method, apparatus, electronic device, and computer readable storage medium. The method improves the Measurement Timing Configuration SMTC of a cell synchronization signal, the improved SMTC including SSB information of a serving beam cell and a neighbour beam cell, the neighbour beam cell including other beam cells covered by other beams, other than the serving beam, of a first non-terrestrial node covering the serving beam cell and/or beam cells covered by beams of a second non-terrestrial node adjacent to the first non-terrestrial node. Enabling the UE to obtain, in a timely and reliable manner, the SSB signals of the beam cells covered by beams, other than the serving beam, of a first non-terrestrial node and/or the beam cells covered by beams of the second non-terrestrial node for cell measurement in the non-terrestrial communication network.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to communication methods and apparatuses. In one example method, a terminal device receives first information from an access device, and determines a first bandwidth part (BWP) of an access beam of the terminal device based on the received first information and a second BWP configured for the access beam of the terminal device. Then, the terminal device communicates with the access device in the determined first BWP by using the access beam. The first information indicates a relationship between the first BWP and the second BWP. The second BWP is a dedicated BWP configured for the access beam of the terminal device.
BEAM ESTABLISHMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application discloses a beam establishment method. A terminal apparatus obtains synchronization signal and PBCH blocks SSBs in a plurality of beams; then determines a target beam in the plurality of beams based on an association relationship between an SSB index and a first random access preamble, where the first random access preamble is determined based on a cyclic shift and/or an order of symbols; and finally sends the random access preamble by using the target beam, to initiate a random access request. A communication device receives the first random access preamble in the random access request sent by the terminal apparatus, and then determines, based on the association relationship, the target beam accessed by the terminal apparatus. According to embodiments of this application, the first random access preamble is determined based on the cyclic shift and/or the order of symbols.
GNSS Enhanced Cell Ranking
According to some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device comprises: determining geographical location information of the wireless device with respect to each cell of a plurality of cells; adjusting a cell reselection ranking for the plurality of cells based on the geographical location information for the plurality of cells; selecting a cell from the plurality of cells based on the adjusted ranking; and camping on the selected cell.
CENTRALIZED NETWORK DEVICE CHANGE PROCEDURE
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a centralized network device change procedure. A method comprises in response to a distributed network device being to be disconnected with a centralized network device and connected with a further centralized network device, transmitting an interface resuming request from a distributed network device to the further centralized network device, the interface resuming request being used for resuming an inactivated interface between the further centralized network device and the distributed network device, the terminal device is served by the centralized network device via the distributed network device; and in response to receiving, from the further centralized network device, a resuming status message indicating the interface is successfully resumed, activating the inactivated interface to complete the resume procedure. In this way, when a gNB-DU, which is located at the satellite and moves along with the satellite, moves from the coverage of a gNB-CU to the coverage of a new gNB-CU, a terminal device, which is served by a gNB-CU via a gNB-DU, will keep the connection with the gNB-CU, such that the connectivity of the accessed terminal device will be maintained and meanwhile the signalling overhead for interface configuration will be saved.
LOW DATA VOLUME SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Systems are disclosed for a communication system optimized for low data volume communications. In embodiments of the invention, the energy used to transmit an acknowledgement message differs depending on whether the acknowledgement is an ACK or a NACK. The energy used to transmit an ACK is set to be significantly less than the energy used to transmit a NACK. Preferably, the energy used to transmit the acknowledgement message is negligible if the acknowledgement message is an ACK compared to if the acknowledgement message is a NACK. In one embodiment, the energy used to transmit an ACK is set near zero and the energy used to transmit a NACK is set approximately four times the energy of an acknowledgement message if the energy required to transmit a NACK and an ACK were equal.
System and methods for spectrum sharing between satellite and terrestrial communication systems
A method and system for sharing frequency spectrum with multiple networks includes selecting a first geographical coverage area served by a first base station associated with a first network. The first base station is configured to utilize a predetermined frequency spectrum. A second base station, associated with a different network, that is operating within the first geographical coverage area is identified. Frequency resources from the predetermined are subsequently allocated to the second base station.
RANDOM ACCESS PROCEDURES FOR SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS
Systems and methods are disclosed for random access in a wireless communication system such as, e.g., a wireless communication system having a non-terrestrial (e.g., satellite-based) radio access network. Embodiments of a method performed by a wireless device and corresponding embodiments of a wireless device are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for random access comprises performing an open-loop timing advance estimation procedure to thereby determine an open-loop timing advance estimate for an uplink between the wireless device and a base station. The method further comprises transmitting a random access preamble using the open-loop timing advance estimate. In this manner, random access can be performed even in the presence of a long propagation delay such as that present in a satellite-based radio access network. Embodiments of a method performed by a base station and corresponding embodiments of a base station are also disclosed.
