EASY CHAIR WITH EXERCISE AND HEALTH BENEFITS
A seating apparatus cushioned for providing comfortable seating of a body for living room, office and other seating environments. The seating apparatus includes a frame for a seat, a back component, arms and legs and includes one or more supports fixed with respect to the frame and extending from the seating apparatus to provide stationary anchors for use by the body in exercising and for ingress and egress from the seating apparatus.
Additive manufactured cushioned component
A seat assembly includes a cushioned component having a lattice matrix. An air bladder assembly is covered by the lattice matrix. The air bladder assembly includes a plurality of air bladders supported on a platform assembly. Each air bladder includes a body portion operable between deflated and inflated conditions. Each air bladder includes a connection stem. A support plate includes a plurality of access apertures disposed therethrough. The air bladder assembly is operably coupled to the support plate. Each air bladder is aligned with at least one access aperture of the plurality of access apertures. A carrier assembly includes a plurality of mounting apertures disposed through an outer surface thereof. The carrier assembly receives the connection stem of each air bladder through at least one mounting aperture of the plurality of mounting apertures of the carrier assembly.
Height adjustable support surface and system for encouraging human movement and promoting wellness
A system for managing the elevation of a workstation, the system comprising a frame, a worktop having an upper worksurface, at least a first powered vertical-displacement drive mechanism connected between the frame and the worktop and arranged to selectively vertically displace the worktop with respect to the frame, a presence sensor and a processor linked to the drive mechanism and the sensor, the processor using information from the presence sensor to track user presence at the workstation and, upon detecting that the workstation is unoccupied, automatically controlling the drive mechanism to move the worktop from a current height to a scheduled height.
Piston actuated lumbar stimulation device for a chair
A chair is disclosed including a seat and a back that is adapted to tilt back with the seat when a user of the chair leans back. A lumbar stimulation device having pairs of massage rollers is attached within the chair back to a gas cylinder bracket that extends vertically through the chair back for attachment to a chair base lying below the chair seat. A push-button actuated gas cylinder is connected to the gas cylinder bracket inside the chair back. A push-button located on one arm of the chair is connected to the gas cylinder by a cable. When the push-button is depressed, the gas cylinder is actuated to generate a pushing force for pushing the pairs of massage rollers of the lumbar stimulation device in a substantially horizontal direction through the chair back to apply a pressure against the user's back.
PNEUMATIC FOUR WAY LUMBAR
A lumbar support system for a seat backrest, the lumbar support system includes a carrier having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The carrier is movable with respect to the seat backrest in a first direction and in a second direction opposite the first direction. The lumbar support system further includes a first bladder coupled to the first end of the carrier, a second bladder coupled to the second end of the carrier, and a third bladder coupled to the carrier. The third bladder has a contact surface and is configured to move with the carrier. The first bladder is inflatable to move the carrier in the first direction, and the second bladder is inflatable to move the carrier in the second direction. The third bladder is inflatable such that the contact surface is extendable in a third direction.
METHOD OF APPLYING WAVE THERAPY AND AN OCCUPANT PLATFORM FOR USE WITH SAME
The wave therapy method includes providing an occupant surface for accepting an occupant thereon and a control unit for holding a specific pressure, based on the weight of the occupant of the surface, for a preferred first preselected duration and continuously adjusting the pressure applied. Continuously adjusting the pressure comprises may include increasing the pressure by a preselected amount and holding this new pressure for a second preselected duration, decreasing the pressure by the preselected amount to return the surface to the original set low pressure, repeating the cycle one or more times.
ERGONOMIC SEATING SYSTEM, TILT-LOCK CONTROL AND REMOTE POWERING METHOD AND APPARATUS
An adjustable desking system for supporting users in a plurality of ergonomic positions, the system comprising a plurality of sit-stand desks, each desk including a variable length leg assembly including an activator and a height adjustable worktop supported at a top end of the leg assembly and a master controller linked to each of the activators at the plurality of desks to control activation of each activator to raise and lower a worktop associated with the specific activator, wherein, the master controller controls worktop heights at each of the desks independent of user input when the desk is vacant and enables user control of the height of any worktop at a desk that is occupied by a user.
Thoracic region comfort seating system
A thoracic support for a seat back of a seat is provided. The thoracic support structure is pivotally attached to the seat back and pivots between a first position and a second position. In the second position the support structure supports at least a portion of the thoracic region of the user's spine. An actuator disposed between a support surface and the support structure pivots the support structure from the first position to the second position upon actuation.
Custom controlled seating surface technologies
A system of controlling various actuators associated with human support surfaces is disclosed. Such a system is made up of a support surface, a controller, and an actuator. The system may optionally include batteries, a means of charging the batteries, and a graphical user interface as well as a communication link between the graphical user interface and the support surfaces. The actuators are capable of altering contour and/or firmness, of a support surface, they may be vibrational or heating/cooling in nature, and they may also alter the overall relative position of a support surface.
