A device provides a pneumatic pressure medium via a pressure medium source for at least one pressure medium chamber in particular of a vehicle seat of a motor vehicle. The device has a pressure medium source for the pressure medium and a pressure medium line disposed between the pressure medium source and at least one valve. At least one connection for a pressure medium line is disposed between the valve and the pressure medium chamber. A control module actuates the pressure medium source and the at least one valve. The device further has a housing. A motor of the pressure medium source is located between the control module and a pump of the pressure medium source.
Ergonomic seating system, tilt-lock control and remote powering method and apparatus
A system for supporting a user in a plurality of ergonomic positions that includes a first assembly and a second, separate assembly. The first assembly includes first and second components that are adjustable to support the user in first and second different postures. The second assembly includes separate first and second components that are adjustable to support the user in the first and second postures. Upon the relative position of the second assembly first and second components being changed from the first to the second position, a second assembly processor transmits a wireless signal to a receiver of the first assembly. Upon receiving the wireless signal, a first assembly processor controls an actuator to adjust the position of the first assembly first and second components from the first position to the second position.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat is provided with a seat cushion and a seat back, the seat back includes: left and right side members extending up and down; a lower cross member extending laterally and joined to the left and right side members, a cross member extending laterally above the lower cross member and joined to the left and right side members; at least one wire member extending up and down and joined to the lower cross member and the cross member; and at least one shoulder support member supported on an upper portion of the wire member. The shoulder support member includes: a first plate part facing in a front-rear direction and joined to the upper portion of the wire member; and a second plate part facing in the front-rear direction and connected to the first plate part via a flexible part.

The seating device and backrest have a seat portion dimensioned for an occupant; a support arm coupled to seat portion proximate a first end of the support arm; a mounting receptacle coupled to the support arm proximate a second end of the support arm, wherein the mounting receptacle is configured to accept a substantially convex body, and wherein the support arm is configured to position the mounting receptacle at an angle such that the convex body makes focal contact at an seat occupant's optimally concave lumbar/thoracic spinal regions.

SEAT SUPPORT LAYER ASSEMBLY
A seat back assembly and method of manufacture is provided. The seat back includes a foam cushion layer. A support sub-assembly is formed including a rigid support layer with a plurality of cavities and channels defined on a rear surface for receiving components and a generally smooth front surface. At least one component is retained in one of the cavities and a second component is secured on the front surface of the support layer. A trim material covers the cushion layer and secures the sub-assembly to the seat back.

The occupant support further includes an upper-back support system configured to support an upper back of an occupant of the occupant support.
Pneumatic four way lumbar
A lumbar support system for a seat backrest, the lumbar support system includes a carrier having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The carrier is movable with respect to the seat backrest in a first direction and in a second direction opposite the first direction. The lumbar support system further includes a first bladder coupled to the first end of the carrier, a second bladder coupled to the second end of the carrier, and a third bladder coupled to the carrier. The third bladder has a contact surface and is configured to move with the carrier. The first bladder is inflatable to move the carrier in the first direction, and the second bladder is inflatable to move the carrier in the second direction. The third bladder is inflatable such that the contact surface is extendable in a third direction.
Manual lumbar pump assembly
A pump assembly for a vehicle seatback includes a plurality of air bladders defining a lumbar support and a pneumatic cylinder that has a sealed head slidably disposed within a cylindrical cavity coupled defining an outlet. A selection device operably engages the outlet with a select one of the plurality of air bladders for inflating the select one of the plurality of air bladders.
Cushion-like shaped body and use thereof
A cushion-like shaped body (1) having an elastic, gel-like filling (2) in a thin-walled outer layer (3) are frequently used as seals, cushions, vibration dampers or shape compensation materials. This shaped body (1) is to be able to withstand severe strains, distortions, compressions and flexural forces, both in the event of brief severe stress and in the event of prolonged stress. For this purpose, the cushion-like shaped body (1) has a filling (2) of a polyurethane having Shore 000 hardness less than or equal to 80 and a compression set less than or equal to 14%, and this filling (2) is present within a shell having an outer layer (3) of a soft silicone material having a layer thickness of 0.075 to 1 mm and a Shore A hardness between 3A and 45A. Such a shaped body (1) is able to return to its original form without lasting elongation after tensile strain at room temperature up to 250%. There is no formation of cracks, detachment phenomena, bubbles, folds or other lasting damage. The elongation does not cause visible detachment between filling (2) and outer layer (3).
