Height-adjustable footrest

A lock is provided for locking a footrest at two chair legs of a chair is provided. The lock has a first blocking rod, a second blocking rod, and an adjustment means cooperating with the two blocking rods. The adjustment means is supported rotatably about a rotation axis, the two blocking rods are arranged coaxially and spaced apart from each other and are respectively perpendicular with respect to the rotation axis (DA), the two blocking rods are respectively coupled to the adjustment means, and a rotation of the adjustment means about the rotation axis (DA) causes the two blocking rods to move synchronously in opposite directions. Also provided are a footrest having a lock according to this disclosure and a chair having one or both of a lock according to this disclosure and a footrest according to this disclosure.

In a conventional seating configuration, the seating surface components are in a closed or joined position and the footrest in an unobtrusive position. To configure the chair for cross-legged seating, the seat components for each thigh may be moved apart to allow a user cross-legged seating position and rest the feet and lower legs upon the footrest. The disclosure describes various means of adjustment to the thigh supports and footrest, and mechanisms for actuating the various configurations to maximize comfort and ease of use.

Fastening structure for footrest ring of chair

The fastening structure includes an inner sleeve, a quick-release handle and an outer sleeve. The inner sleeve has an outer threaded conic surface, a through slot, shrinkable slots and claw plates between adjacent two of the shrinkable slots. The quick-release handle is provided at a bottom end of the inner sleeve for controlling a width of the through slot. The outer sleeve is used for connecting the footrest ring and has an inner threaded conic surface to screw the outer sleeve onto the inner sleeve.
