MECHANISM FOR DELIVERING BEAM INFORMATION
According to embodiments of the present disclosure, when an unknown secondary cell configured with a physical uplink control channel is activated, a terminal device determines whether to transmit beam information to a network. The terminal device receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order in a beam which is selected in association with the beam information. In this way, a proper beam can be determined to transmit PDCCH order and it can also reduce delay.
POWER CONTROL IN WIRELESS CELLULAR NETWORKS
A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure a UE for a power control procedure in a 5G NR and beyond wireless network. The instructions cause the UE to perform operations including decoding RRC signaling received from a base station. The RRC signaling includes one or more open-loop power control parameters. A reference signal received power (RSRP) is determined. The RSRP is associated with a reference signal received from the base station using a receive beam. A path loss associated with the receive beam is determined based on the RSRP. A transmission (Tx) power is determined using the one or more open-loop power control parameters and the path loss. The Tx power is adjusted based on a power threshold shared between at least two antenna panels of a plurality of antenna panels. Uplink data is encoded for transmission to the base station according to the adjusted Tx power.
Positioning Method, Communication Device and Medium
A positioning method includes a first device performs a target operation, to assist a first terminal in positioning. The target operation includes transmitting a target message, transmitting a first SL-PRS, or selecting a target first resource. The target first resource is used for transmitting the first SL-PRS and/or transmitting the target message. The target message includes a positioning request, positioning assistance data, or first resource configuration information. The first resource configuration information is used for configuring at least one first resource. The target first resource is one or more resources in the at least one first resource. The first SL-PRS is used for determining location information of the first terminal and/or second terminal, and/or SL-PRS measurement information. The second terminal is a peer terminal that performs SL communication or SL positioning with the first terminal.
USER DEVICE LOCATION ESTIMATION
A method, apparatus and computer program is described comprising: collecting mobile communication fingerprint data for signals between a user device and a plurality of communication nodes of a mobile communication system; organising the collected data into a feature matrix, wherein the feature matrix includes a user device location associated with each set of fingerprint data; generating a binomial expression of the system based on the collected data; processing the binomial expression (e.g. using a factorisation machine) to generate a reduced dimension binomial expression model; and calculating gradients and updating parameters of the reduced dimensional binomial expression model based on said gradients.
RESTRICTED RELAY SELECTION PROCEDURE BASED ON COMMUNICATION LINK QUALITY THRESHOLDS
A source user equipment (UE) device is restricted to same-cell relay UE device reselection if the communication link quality to the same-cell relay device is above a threshold and network access is available through a same-cell relay UE device. In some situations, relay selection is based multiple thresholds related to a communication link quality of the link to the serving base station of the source UE device.
INDICATION/REPORT REPETITION INFORMATION'S PROCEDURE FOR PUCCH HARQ FEEDBACK FOR MSG4
A UE receives a system information block (SIB) from a base station. The UE determines whether the SIB includes a set of candidate repetition factors for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions. The UE transmits, to the base station in a message of a random access procedure, an indication of a capability of the UE for PUCCH repetition in response to determining that the SIB includes the set of candidate repetition factors. When the UE has the capability, the UE determines a particular repetition factor based on at least one of the set of candidate repetition factors and a dynamic indication of a repetition factor. When the UE has the capability, the UE further transmits an acknowledgement (ACK) or negative acknowledgement (NACK) of a message 4 of the random access procedure in a PUCCH in accordance with the particular repetition factor.
SIGNAL RECEIVING METHOD AND APPARATUS, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
This application discloses a signal receiving method and apparatus, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The method includes: obtaining a first signal strength and a second signal strength before a first signal is received; in a case that the second signal strength is greater than the first signal strength and that a difference between the second signal strength and the first signal strength is greater than or equal to a first threshold, determining that the first signal is an interference signal and determining not to receive the interference signal; and in a case that the second signal strength is less than or equal to the first signal strength, performing first receiving and processing on the first signal; where the second signal strength is signal strength from a corresponding access point, and the first signal strength is signal strength of the first signal.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE, METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM FOR OBTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT BASE STATION
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first communication circuit for first wireless communication, a second communication circuit for second wireless communication, one or more processors, and memory storing one or more programs including instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the electronic device to identify a state of the electronic device while an operation mode for the first wireless communication is a radio resource control (RRC) idle mode, when the state of the electronic device corresponds to a specified state, measure at least one signal transmitted from a first base station for the second wireless communication, switch the operation mode from the RRC idle mode to an RRC connection mode after measuring the signal, and cause a second station for the first wireless communication to transmit a signal for requesting connection during a state in which the operation mode is in the RRC connection mode.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REPORTING CSI IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a 5G communication system or a 6G communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4G communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a 5G or 6G communication system is provided. The method includes receiving a message including configuration information for a conditional channel state information (CSI) report from a base station, receiving multiple CSI-reference signals (RSs) on different beams from the base station, selecting at least one CSI-RS satisfying at least one of a first condition or a second condition from the multiple CSI-RSs, based on the configuration information, and transmitting the conditional CSI report including information on the at least one CSI-RS to the base station.
BEAM FAILURE RECOVERY METHOD OF BASE STATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING RIS, APPARATUS THEREFOR, AND PROGRAM THEREFOR
Disclosed is a beam failure recovery method of a base station in a wireless communication system using an RIS. The beam failure recovery method may include configuring a candidate beam set, based on a measured RSRP value in beam sweeping using an antenna, establishing a communication link with a UE through a main beam having the measured RSRP value exceeding a predetermined threshold in the configured candidate beam set, selecting a beam, based on the measured RSRP value, from an SSB to which the main beam belongs and an SSB to which the main beam does not belong when beam failure occurs in the established communication link, and recovering the beam failure with the UE through the selected beam. Accordingly, beam failure recovery may be more effectively performed.
