Network connection managing device, system and method
The present disclosure provides a device and a method for managing network connection. The device is used to connect a number of external devices to a network, and stores a plurality of pieces of network configuration information. The method includes detecting whether one or more external devices requests to connect to the network via the device; and determining the configuration information corresponding to each external device, configuring the allowed external devices and connecting the configured external devices to the network according to the determined network configuration information. A network connection managing system is further provided.
SYSTEM FOR CONNECTING AND CONTROLLING MULTIPLE DEVICES
The present invention provides a platform that enables devices, services and applications to be connected together. An in-home gateway device provides the hub for this connectivity, by connecting and coordinating in-home (and/or in-office) devices and cloud-based services. Creating a “connected environment” via this platform requires co-ordinating multiple device manufacturers and service providers, and multiple standards/protocols. Advantageously, the platform removes the requirement for different manufacturers of different devices to adopt common protocols to enable device connection, and further, the platform removes the burden of configuration away from the consumer.
Cross-client sensor user interface in an integrated security network
An integrated system includes a system user interface (SUI) that provides an iconic, at-a-glance representation of integrated security system status. The SUI is for use across all client devices including mobile or cellular telephones, a mobile portal, a web portal, and a touchscreen device. The SUI includes a number of display elements presented across all types of client devices for monitoring status of the integrated security system. The display elements of the SUI include an orb icon, text summary, security button, device warnings, system warnings, interesting sensors, and quiet sensors. The SUI thus provides system status summary information agnostically across all clients. Additionally, the SUI provides consistent iconography, terminology, and display rules across all clients as well as consistent sensor and system detail across clients.
Method and apparatus for enabling data path selection in a virtual home gateway
Embodiments of the present disclosure include methods and apparatuses for enabling data path selection. In an EPG, ILNP mobility signaling is received. The ILNP signaling may include a destination locator for a BNG. A signaling message is sent to the BNG in response to the received ILNP signaling. An acknowledgement is received from the BNG. Traffic is tunneled between a mobile device and a RGW over a LTE interface. In a BNG, a signaling message is received. A message is sent to a SDN controller. A notification is received from the SDN controller that configuration of a RGW to tunnel traffic over a LTE interface is complete. An acknowledgement is sent to an EPG. In a RGW, a message is received from a SDN controller. Traffic is tunneled between a NAS and an EPG over a LTE interface based on the message received from the SDN controller.
Home appliance, home appliance system and method of controlling home appliance
Disclosed is a home appliance system including a home appliance and a mobile terminal. The home appliance includes a tag unit, a communication unit, a memory, a display unit, an input unit, a drive control unit and a controller to control general operations of the home appliance, the home appliance including a washing machine. The mobile terminal includes a communication unit, a storage unit, a display unit, an input unit, a speaker and a terminal controller.
SMART HOME SYSTEM AND METHOD
An electrical management system for managing a smart home. A plurality of end units such as electrical outlets and electrical switches sample the electricity going through the end-unit at least 1,000 times per second. The information is communicated to a server, which analyzes the data across many installations and can alert the user for any abnormal electrical situation in the home.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SECURE PASSIVE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION WITH BLUETOOTH VITALS DEVICES
A system for transmitting and receiving medical vital signs from a “smart” vital sign apparatus over multi-protocol communication channels to and from a remote electronic health record database that may include a plurality of vital sign sources that communicate over a plurality of standard communication channels including: Bluetooth, LoRa, WiFi, cellular, Ethernet or other direct IP paths. The system reduces the volume of data transferred and extends BLE security.
Method and apparatus for controlling electronic device
A method for controlling an electronic device includes: responsive to that a starting operation over a controlled electronic device is detected, a target electronic device at a distance that is within a preset distance away from the controlled electronic device is determined; a working mode of the target electronic device is determined; and responsive to that the working mode of the target electronic device is matched with a first preset working mode, a working mode of the controlled electronic device is adjusted to a second preset working mode to avoid interference from the controlled electronic device to use of the target electronic device.
Method and system for the creation, modification and removal of a distributed virtual customer home gateway
The at least one distributed virtual CPE comprising at least one IP Edge node, at least one Carrier Grade NAT node, at least one User Configuration Server and at least one Line Configuration Server, the method creating said at least one distributed virtual CPE upon the reception of traffic from a home in the access line corresponding to said home; modifying said at least one distributed virtual CPE upon a customer request; removing said at least one distributed virtual CPE, upon a traffic inactivity timeout detected in said access line or upon an administrative command; and associating a line identifier and a customer identifier to said at least one distributed virtual CPE, wherein said association, termed vCPE context, is known partially or totally by the at least one IP Edge node, the at least one Carrier Grade NAT, the at least one User Configuration Server and the at least one Line Configuration Server, and is kept active during the whole life cycle of said distributed virtual CPE from the creation to the removal.
LOCATING AND IDENTIFYING PAIRED ELECTRONIC DEVICES
An electronic device, method, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium provide a function of locating and identifying a paired device in a wireless network. The wireless network communicatively connects a plurality of electronic devices including the electronic device and the paired device. The electronic device includes a user interface, a network interface, a hardware processor, and a non-transitory memory storing one or more programs. The hardware processor executes the programs to receive a search command using a first communication connection via the network interface. Moreover, the hardware processor executes the programs to determine whether the peer device identifying information matches identifying information of the electronic device. When the peer device identifying information matches the identifying information of the electronic device, the electronic device identifies as the paired device. Otherwise, the electronic device broadcasts to the wireless network using a second communication connection.
