REFRIGERATORS
A refrigerator has an open front and an air curtain system having at least one upper air egress with an outer edge and at least one lower air-recovery ingress. The air curtain system is adapted to produce a substantially vertical air curtain over at least part of the open front of the refrigerator. The refrigerator comprises at least one shelf between the egress and the ingress, the shelf having a front edge, and at least one elongate air-guiding strip extending across at least part of the open front of the fridge. The strip is located substantially in the plane of the shelf and spaced from the front edge of the shelf. The strip is located substantially vertically beneath the outer edge of the upper air egress.
MERCHANDISER
A refrigerated merchandiser includes a case, a first case section defining a first product display area and a first air passageway having a first airflow inlet, a first airflow outlet, and a second airflow outlet, and a second case section having a glass panel through which a second product display area is visible. Moreover, the refrigerated merchandiser includes a fan positioned in the first air passageway to generate an airflow that is separated into a first airflow portion and a second airflow portion at or upstream of an evaporator. The first airflow portion is configured to flow through the evaporator and through the first airflow outlet. The second airflow portion is configured to bypass the evaporator via a bypass channel and flow through the second airflow outlet. The second airflow outlet is oriented to direct the second airflow portion over an exterior of the glass panel.
Showcase and operation method thereof
A showcase includes: a casing having a front opening through which a product is picked up; a product storage located in the casing and including a shelf on which the product is displayed; a first airflow generator that sends air for a first air curtain to flow outside along the product storage; a second airflow generator that sends air for a second air curtain to flow outside along the first air curtain; and a controller that causes the first airflow generator to operate and causes the second airflow generator to reduce an output of the second airflow generator from an output at a first timing, upon arrival of a second timing when a break of the second air curtain due to disturbance is greater than a break of the second air curtain at the first timing.
FAN PLENUM ASSEMBLY AND ATTACHMENT IN A MERCHANDISER
A fan plenum assembly for a merchandiser. The fan plenum assembly includes a plenum housing that defines an opening configured to receive a fan, and that has a side wall with a slot and a slot extension continuous with the slot. The slot has a major axis extending through a center of the slot. A bearing is configured to rotationally support a hinge pin and is coupled to the side wall. The bearing includes a positioning element that is disposed in the slot and in the slot extension. The positioning element is movable within the slot and the slot extension such that the bearing is movable along the major axis to permit axial adjustment of a position of the bearing relative to the plenum housing and the bearing is immovable rotationally relative to the plenum housing.
Refrigerated case with an induced airflow system
Systems and methods relate to a temperature-controlled case. The temperature-controlled case includes a housing that defines a temperature-controlled space and an opening for providing user access to the temperature-controlled space. The case also includes a cooling element in thermal communication with the temperature-controlled space. The case further includes a modular plenum coupled to the housing and positioned behind the cooling element relative to the opening, wherein the modular plenum includes: at least one fan removably coupled to the modular plenum, wherein the at least one fan induces an air flow through the cooling element, and at least one electrical connector coupled to the modular plenum and positioned proximate each of the at least one fan for providing electrical power to each of the at least one fan.
Showcase and control device
A showcase includes a casing having a front opening through which a product is picked up, a product storage located in the casing, a cold air outlet in a front upper portion of the product storage, and a cold air inlet in a front lower portion of the product storage. Cold air is forced to flow out of the cold air outlet in a downward direction and sucked into the cold air inlet. The showcase further includes an inlet port in the front lower portion of the casing at a position below the cold air inlet, a duct, a discharge port in a side wall of the casing, and an airflow generator that forces air in the duct to flow from the inlet port toward the discharge port. The air is sucked through the inlet port and the air in the duct is discharged through the discharge port.
MODULAR HUMIDITY CONTROL AND HEAT PRESERVATION SYSTEM
A modular humidity control system is provided. An example system includes a body configured for attachment with a food storage housing. The body may define a closed circuit air flow path for circulating air through the food storage housing. The system also includes a desiccant element secured within the closed circuit air flow path that removes moisture from the moisture-laden air passing through the closed circuit air flow path, and stores the removed moisture. The system further includes a regeneration that monitors a saturation of the desiccant element. In an instance in which the saturation of the desiccant element exceeds a saturation threshold, the regeneration system may evaporate at least a portion of the moisture stored by the desiccant element.
AEROTHERMODYNAMIC SEPARATOR FOR REFRIGERATED DISPLAY CABINET
An aerothermodynamic separator for a refrigerated display cabinet is disclosed. The separator comprises a flat member having a predetermined dimension defining a shape of the separator. The separator is adapted to be removably positioned between a front end of one or more shelves associated with the cabinet and a rear end of a connecting region between two adjacent doors of the cabinet. The separator is adapted to restrict infiltration of outside air in a conservation space behind the doors of the cabinet upon opening at least one of the doors.
REFRIGERATED DISPLAY CABINET WITH TWO-AREA DISPLAY COMPARTMENT
A refrigerated display cabinet has a containment structure defining a product display compartment divided by a shelf into a lower area and an upper area, and an access opening, an air inlet mouth and an air outlet mouth being in communication with the product display compartment. A channel connecting the air inlet and outlet mouths contains an evaporator connected to a refrigeration circuit and a plurality of fans arranged downstream of the evaporator, and is divided into a first group and a second group of fans respectively generating a flow of refrigerated air towards the lower area and a flow of refrigerated air towards the air outlet mouth. A control unit adjusts speed of the first group of fans independently of speed of the second group of fans and flow rate of refrigerated air towards the lower area independently of flow rate of refrigerated air towards the air outlet mouth.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A DISPLAY CABINET
A method of manufacturing a display cabinet for a refrigerated display, comprising: assembling a cabinet frame configured to have a refrigeration component installed at either of both a rear portion and a base portion of the cabinet frame; selecting from both the rear portion and the base portion either the rear portion or the base portion of the cabinet frame for installation of the refrigeration component and installing the refrigeration component in the selected portion.
